Several counties have played two spinners in overseas countries, but they are countries which are blessed to have multiple spinners. England have not had a quality spinners since Swann retired. Australia have only Lyon. New Zealand only had Vettori. South Africa rarely had quality spinners. If they had, more would have played.

You tell me, instead. I can recall at least 10 Test matches where two Indian spinners were played overseas in the same match. And other countries too, like West Indies, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, have done this in SENA countries sometimes.

I never said they did this in every tour. I said there was enough evidence of two spinners being needed, but Ashwin was sidelined. There is enough evidence to suggest Ashwin was needed.
