If migrants are flooding any city, be it of north or south, they are also living and spending there and contributing to the economy. In fact no mega city has been a megacity without the outsiders. But we are getting mostly are unskilled people, who illegally occupy the roadside lands and put tents to make more slums in South India. Unfortunately, skilled personnel in North also more interested in hatred, religion and hind, those won't sit well with many South indians. Many north indians feels that religion is more important than air, food and development. Religion exists in South India too but not at mad level, they prefer development over relion. More importantly, they believe that humans are more important because they are humans. These different perspectives would create more drastic problems in future, thus it is better to be distant from evil minded people
