Good come back by *Indian's* Perfect combination of bowling and fielding last but not the least team recalled right back and come back coñfedence of 1983 win 1983 mai Suraj chachu ko Jeet leya to 1986 mai Chanda mama ko bhi Jeet hi lege🇮🇳🇮🇳
First of all important partenship between amarnath and Kapil second one mind blowing catches from gavaskar third excellent bowling from Kapil and Ravi totally a nail biting match and not to forget imran. Who dominated with his bowling
I still remember listening to the commentary of that match. I felt disappointed when Indian team was bowled out for a mere 125 runs. Kapil Dev, a captain and motivator par excellence, had given a short, stirring pep talk to his team to do their best as a team to defend this low score. It was excellent performance by all the team members that gave India this memorable, stirring victory by bowling out Pakistan for 108 runs. I had listened to the end, was overjoyed, and had felt proud of our team and Kapil Dev. Even now, this match performance is referred to repeatedly in ODIs when the morale of a team is down. Great Match! ❤
India defended like tigers on the field. Imagine - they were underpaid, under-fed, no fielding coaches, and all odds stacked against them in a place like Sharjah. Goosebumps to see these true legends that started the renaissance in Indian cricket!
I was school boy. We didn't have a television set at our home. Not even in my neighbourhood. So, radio commentary was the only option. I switched it off after India batted miserably. After few hours I again switched it on and got the news that India is on the way to win the first ever Asia Cup.
A good leadership and not giving up attitude worked! Kudos to Indian Team and a round of applause to our favorite Kapil Dev! He has always come to rescue when Indian team was in trouble. He never got run out in his entire career which itself shows his mental strength and focus on the game! 🙌🙏💪
Young Azhar making a difference by scoring crucial 47 runs against Quality bowling of Imran and Akram. His 47 runs provided the comforting cushion . Haters may bury their heads in Gobar. Finally, Gavaskar 's brilliant catches made sure the victory didn't slip out of India's hands. Great moment for Team India.
Azhar never got his due credit from the biased critics. Infact his innings is the main reason for Indias victory . Still some people praise other players even they failed to reach double figures ignoring Azhar .
@@ashrafcherpalchery2399 Yes Azhar is A Match Fixer Even though he didn't not Fix this match. But you know this very well he is A Match Fixer. Azhar is a Match Fixer it's a Fact.
Amarnath was rated as the best player against pace by none other than Viv Richards, greatest player in the planet. Srikanth was a dasher and the first player to hit the pace bowlers over the top. Shastri started as No 11 and moved to open the innings, very good spinner and a decent fielder. Today the bats are technically powerful and the grounds are small to entertain the crowd. Had they played in those days almost all the sixes would have been easy catches in the deep. Today even the top edges and outer edges are going for six. If the current players are asked to play Tests, their techniques will be completely exposed
I could still remember the match watching on TV in 1985 when i was just 8 year old. The pitch was initially conducive to pace bowlers , but when it gets old, there was sharp turn for spinners as well. Imran's 6/14, Kapil dev's all-round performance ( 30 runs & 3/14) , Gavaskar's 4 catches and Mohinder amarnath;s dircet hit run out were highlights . This was the greatest ODI win for India against Pakistan , but the happiness short lived as Javed miandad's last ball six in the same venue next year shattered the confidence of Indian team for long time.
I was there in the stadium in this match and this was just the beginning of india's dominance over pakistan in the ODI's and later on in T20's as well. 3 of my buddies were playing in this game, siva, ajju and vishu. I wish we were playing against them in tests too so that we could have dominated them in all 3 formats. There was a time when we as youngsters would dream of india winning against pakistan and that too at sharjah and now we are having the last laugh on them.
I can not understand that legend l. Sivramakrishnan was dropped many times by indian selectors then. Why? Kapil is maharaja of indian cricket. Without him I can not think of indian cricket.gavaskar is
SIVARAMAKrishnan became popular in a short time but his lavish life style as unusual money made him mad of spending on girls and then to drugs spoiled his carrier that became a big ZERO, was a promising cricketer
In Sarjah same type of an one day match between India and England was played where India defeated England with the help of miracle leg spinner Sri Sheo Ramakrishnan.❤❤❤
I was in Dubai when the match was played. I switched off the commentary and went fof sleep thinking that India would never win. When I woke up, got excited to know we defeated Pa(nic)kisthan who were all out for just 88 runs.😂😂
Cricket Globe, any chance youève got to upload Javed Miandad career best odi hundred such as 119 not out runs off 77 balls vs india, that match was played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, on 31st December 1982, please let me know.
Team effort - not individual . Catches taken , fielding that saved runs and created pressure, bowling line and that making batsmen to go for, batting with grit.... everything mattered
This was Rothman's Four-Nations Cup Match 1 just after India won Bensen & Hedges Cup in Australia in 1985 (under the captainship of Sunil Gavaskar where India won all the matches without losing a single match).
Now my age 52yrs i switched off tv on that day I hear evening news India win the match again I wet for higlets at 10.50pm. In tv what a wonderful memories i love my india
Amazing team work. Special mention - Sunil Gavaskar's 4 outstanding catches- goes to prove that catches win matches. A horribly under paid, but gritty Bharat team. Evergreen. Porkistan's loss in one more knock out match against Bharat would always be remembered. (Following this loss, they lost to Bharat in the 1985 Benson & Hedges cup also).

125 rus ke Baad, Havaldar / ORA Dilip, Military Hospital Jalandhar, Punjab ne Bina Kisi chinta ke bola tha... Koi baat nahi.. Ve bhi to isi pitch par hi khelenge... Aur hum sabhee...😳😳😳 Ve bole...Is Samay Bharatiya team mein taalmel gzb ka hai....
This was the consecutive win immediately after deleting pakistan in Benson & Hedges. Still remember ir was Sunday and heard the commentary on radio. It was vert thrilling to listen the commentary on radio as lots of loud was a part of commentary on fall of every wicket of Pakistan.
