Comparing USA with India is a joke. It's USA's 15th appearance vs India's first. Every US player is attached with some MLS club youth team vs majority of Indian boys unattached. Previously this US U17 team beat Brazil 3-0 and Portugal 7-1 Chin up India. Best wishes for your next matches.

I don't see the reason to host important matches in Delhi. The city lacks good crowd support. Mumbai or any other city could've put up a better show in terms of crowd, who's a twelfth man.

India's weakness in all field games is lack of ball possession, long and wild passes, and selfish play. If I was their coach I would drill into them the importance of short passes thereby enhancing ball possession. Just pass back and forth till you have a rhythm going and then advance forward in this ping pong fashion. All the good football teams do this.

Congrats to the US who have a great u17 team this year. And "well done" to India to, first ever world cup match and in a really hard group too, as expected you lost the game today but we could see the great potential of some of those players, just give India 10 years and they will be one of the top teams in Asia. watched the entire match .... after first 30 mins ,india played really well specially after the second goal ..india were just ripping apart the american center ,but was quite slow and weak compared to the opponents physically hence were easily pushed off the ball ..technique wise i thought india were beyond my expectations ,specially that striker Komal ..damn that guy he was passing off the clueless U.S defenders as if they weren't even their .... maza aagya ,go indiaaaaaaaaaaaaaa .... The Indians were clearly overawed by the occasion in the first 20-25 mins. Poor passes and sub par football overall. Post that, they regained their composure and gave a good account of themselves against a top class team. There were flashes of brilliance that spoke volumes about the potential of some of these boys. Kudos USA for a clinical performance. It'll be interesting to see how they match up against the Ghanians.

It was a mixed performance overall. The first half was better defensively but we mostly stayed in our own half, rarely getting into USA's half. In the second half, we were able to play good passes in the opposition half, but lacked that final pass/strike. Still only the first game, can actually learn a lot from this performance. The defence will have to be tighter against a speedy Ghana team.

Against USA, who are a great team at youth level, India played very well and were very unfortunate to concede such goals. The penalty was soft, 2nd goal was a deflection and 3rd goal was a follow up from The shot which hit the crossbar which could've made it 2-1. Overall, the boy played well and will do better in the future

Nice start. Hopefully the passion for football starts and picks up well in India. Passion for cricket has become monotonous and boring.

The sad thing is in India the Govt doesnt give much emphasis to sports esp football. And most of the Indians are busy playing cricket. Fortunately, they have started realising the importance of other sports too. I am from a small state from the Northeast of India (Manipur) which gave the maximum number of players to represent the country this time (you see those who look different from the mainland Indians. Not being a racist). We don't have proper fields to play. If it rains its even worst. And yet this small state is called "The powerhouse of Indian sports". When you ask most of the footballers from this state, how they started playing football, you would get funny but touching replies. We all somehow started football by kicking pomelo, the citrus fruit. Cos it was much easier to find, afford since most of the houses have its trees at their courtyard. Forget about able to afford for boots. I think, most of the players in this U-17 team are from poor background. I just wish, our Govt. be more serious cos we are lacking much behind in this field. All the best to all the teams Btw. As you can see we (US) are not very good at professional level because our player stay in America very few play on Europe, our youth teams are top I hope they go play in Europe.

India played well but they really should work on their defence and physique. Dheeraj was amazing in net but the defenders could have helped him a lot more. The goalkeeper should be able to move around the area of his box knowing that his defenders have his back. With the defence just running in one straight line leaving loads of space this does not help at all.

I won the Intra School Football championship with my school, I was selected for the nationals in 2018 but my parents (specially my mother) didn't support me. Our defense looks pretty weak...we were clearly outclassed by the better team U.S...we definitely have a long way to go..our defense looks clueless most of the time and I have been saying this for a long time...a good way forward would be to create space in the ISL playing 11 for an under-17 player as well....I am particularly disappointed that our defense seems more worried about their hairstyles than their actual performance in the field
