The Modi government is encountering its inaugural no-confidence vote during its second term, scheduled for Thursday. In the Lok Sabha, TMC MP Mahua Moitra commented that the Prime Minister would take a moment to attentively listen. She stated that on the final day, he would make an appearance and vehemently counter the opposition.
Moitra questioned why PM Modi doesn't address the House he was elected to represent. She emphasized that this isn't merely a vote of no-confidence against the government, but rather a statement of confidence in the Indian opposition.
Moitra remarked that they have convened to pose questions in a 'Tum Abhi Chup Raho' republic, where the Prime Minister instructs a Governor to remain silent. She pointed out that elected MPs in the House are often told to keep quiet. This motion aims to shatter this culture of silence in Manipur. Moitra asserted that PM Modi might disregard their voices, choosing to address them on the final day. However, she expressed the collective anticipation for his speech.
