Hi Pdogg from the beginning you were telling no need of 3 spinners in the eleven but I guess you indirectly meant to drop Jadeja and bring in Siraj. But dravid and rohit were so keen on having batting depth till 8 down.

While I agree that there could have been few lapses on the part of RG and India Management, this is not the time to discuss about the strategic moves conceived as errors by Pdogg. It seems to be more like sound of despair by Pdogg and its hard for me to take it as constructive criticism. SA have clawed their back in all the league matches and never seen convincing in this tournament. For India, the one-off match was against Pakistan and the victory against USA could have been more convincing. The reason as to why India did not include Siraj was that they had a dilemma as to who should be dropped. they had to drop one of these 3 viz., Akshar Patel, Jadeja, Kuldeep. With Akshar and Kuldeep bowling so well & Akshar's stellar performance as batsman and fielder, the only choice was to drop Jadeja, which they did not want. So for some one to keep saying that India made strategical mistakes repeatedly seems to be more borne out of frustration than anything constructive. SA lived upto their names as chokers as 30 of 30 balls with 5 wickets should be anyday gettable. They did not know how to play and truly deserve to be ending up as losers.

I thought Rohit will go to Hardik especially knowing Klassen was batting and spinners didn't show up. It's that Axar’s 4 th over that made the match close. I agree we would have won with 15 to spare, had Hardik bowled 4

The day we selected the team , I was very unhappy with the squad and I commended in the very same channel, beside a kerala guy (in the team whichever one world up) factor I see absolutely no chance for Indian team. I felt 3 mistakes which you mentioned about the team. 3 spinners is Just because we don’t have any other way to extend our depth to no8. ( even If I were the captain of the squad, I would have played with same eleven. Congrats to our India. Great work from Bumrah, Pandya and ofcourse Arshdeep. Bringing Akshar up the order was the masterstroke which I never thought of. Brilliant thinking from the team.
