It was a painful experience for as an ulaganayagan fan for me. If shankar had not planned on milking more money on this franchise, senapathy would have lived a legend in our minds. Kamal fans dont watch cinema to feel heroism, or to do weird circus on fdfs theatre campuses. All of us have to live a life that is not our dream. Our childhood dreams might have been something and we have to swallow the practicality pill and end up doing what we can to survive. Watching films is our way of escapism into a world we like to have. Those 2-3 hours is our escapism from everything. Then we sit and rewatch kamal's performance, world building, metaphors, that by itself is a year long process to cherish. Shankar hurt me as a kamal fan. He took away the most Iconic performance of kamal haasan from my memory.

My thoughts about Indian 2. 1. INDIAN 2, remembered me to AAA which said to release in 2 part, which production team already knows AAA is mega failure... 2. SENAPATHY makeup, look likes the senapathy make up put on Legend saravana face.. 3. Siddarth emotion - Prabhu reaction when saw his wife turn as Chandramuki 4. Chasing scene - the unicycle maybe can travel from tamilnadu to Taiwan if direction think audience is ilachavayan 5. Barking dog team - iruntha ena ila tea ena. 6. Overall, after watch Indian 2, now I reliaze Sammy² avlo mosomana padam ila. 7. Worst movie in Shankar and Kamal career.

Ten reasons to watch Indian 2 - genuine opinion as a common audience, 1. Socially relevant problems of India have been depicted well. Kudos to daring director Shankar 2. Mr. Kamal Haasan's acting is outstanding. All of his looks are designed in line with the story as he moves in disguise from the police attacking the culprits. My favourite is the Taiwan look at the airport. 3. An out of the box thought process of Shankar sir - Two track mission is live on cinema. It's just in line with what Gandhiji said that as you point at others, pls work on reforming within 4. Music is in line with the story and it works well 5. Great cinematography offering a visual treat all through 6. AI and VFX effects are handled well and good to see veteran actors back on screen ( Vivek sir, Manobala sir). Making of the zero gravity scene is top notch. 7. Strong messages nicely conveyed through powerful performances and it very much resonates. 8. It's a perfect family entertainer suitable for all age groups 9. The hero Senapathy's character is portrayed as a comeback version more older, wiser and deadlier indeed. Director Shankar has taken creative liberty in presenting the character as a Superhero in some parts. It's good to simply enjoy these aspects as a movie lover. 10. Most importantly,it upholds the story line " right is right even if nobody does it and wrong is wrong even if everyone does" Ignore all the baseless biased reviews and enjoy the movie on the big screens. Overall it's worth watching in theatres and a grand cinematic experience is guaranteed...
It’s been very long since we got a gd Tamil movie. For last 7 years we are watching lots goon movies, like Vikram 2, Kathi, master, Leo, Petra, kabali, and etc etc … this lokesh, pa ranjith, Nelson, Karthik subburaj etc etc etc. young directors this days are more into, vettu-kutthu and gore murder scenes. Am extremely tired of watching such repeated genre. Story based of this kind of society related movies are very rare. Infact family subject are very less. That is why Tamil audience hv jumped to Malayalam and other state movies. Telugu, Tamil and Hindi industry are going drought and bankrupt. Infact we are liking international movies these days. Korean, Japanese, French, Turkish movies are favoured. I wonder if South Indian film makers ran out of stories or failed to understand audience pulse. I revived back with maharaja movie after soooooo long. Indian 2 isn’t bad. No matter wat, I love shankar movie. My all time fav directors are balachander, balumahendra, maniretnam and shankar. No matter how the movie is, it will be liked by audience. Because they are legendary directors and prodigy movie makers. Although Indian 2 was not to our expectations and beyond reality, I am contented with the movie. At least there isn’t the over-used gangster and gory fight scenes we are watching for almost a decade. In the name dark comedy lots of useless movie hv spoilt our Tamil industry
I was upset and irritated when a bad song like Calendar, was unnecessarily filmed, “question, why?” Was this song so important for the movie like this, that song was so useless and very bad. In every film of Shankar’s, such useless songs are given importance without any reason. Shankar sir, Whatever money he spending in such useless bad songs, why don’t you should have spent that money in a better CGI or better actions. There is a lot of bad action scenes in many of his films. For example, in the movie Robot 1, action was filmed on road, how badly filmed, a Mercedes car gets hit from all round by an accident and many bullets and after a few seconds the same car looks fine in the same action scene🤦🏻 “me heran hun ji” Shankar sir, is a good film maker, but there are a lot of mistakes in his films and he does not want to try to fix his mistakes in future projects, just keep repeating repeating repeating the same thing… “Indian 2 is the huge example.”

Being a Kamal fan.... I was disappointed in Indian 2....honest review.....if Indian 2 and Indian 3 were been a single movie it will be a great blockbuster movie.... But it missed....
No one says shankar has become old just you and I ! He's of my dad's age and I know what my dad is capable of in terms of perceiving current trends, likes and dislikes. Why wouldn't old people retire on their own and with their heads held high? Was this all needed? I have one other director to mention here, Vasantha Balan. He could not bring his mojo back with his last movie with GVP. Perhaps that's because he's old and outdated. Lyca was made to bear all the beatings 😂😂😂😂 lyca must learn from this and look out for content creators that have stuff and are up-to-date, irrespective of how of many films they have directed till date, like Pradeep Ranganathan, Maharaja's director, Manikandan, harkara's director etc. this IS my opinion through and through.
Worst of shankar. No emotions , not one single scene stood out. No dialogues stood out. Same with music.Even make up and prosethtetic was horrible. Torture thatha.. petrified of 3 .

Shankar era is done...he was too reliant on Sujatha. After his demise, all Shankar movies are flop. 2.0 ran because of Rajini presence. I don't understand how Kamal who is a cinema encyclopedia agreed to work on such a pathetic story. The trailer was a give away that this will be a utter flop.
Indian 2 review in one line - Indian 1 is unforgetable for audience and Kamal, Indian 2 is forgetable disaster for audience not for Kamal as his age made him more stupid of his choice of script. He is just deluded and making money at this point and using movie as a platform to spread his political agenda.
