no he wouldn't, also if u look closely under the line there's a little ramp that's why they all get taller, he's not even on the ramp and he's touching it already.
I think it's because they all seem in pretty good shape for just getting to PT and look like they would complete PT. They also have puffy hairstyles and it's obvious some them were nervous about it and tried to get an extra boost.
@@patriot4786 I'm guessing there would be provisions set up for local state police. The cop is a South Indian, generally south Indians are slightly shorter in stature than for people from the north like haryana or punjab, and since the army is a national body they probably take an average figure for the country rather than for each state.
Having 4 people standing there and checking that they are tall enough is the most indian thing I have ever seen. I used to live in the middle east and whenever you saw indian people working there would always be way more people than needed there. If it was a one man job there would would be four or five guys, if it was a three man job there would be close to ten people standing around.
They don't have a lot of faith in each other. As far as I can tell, the assumption is that it's a lot harder to bribe four people who were trained to rat each other out than just one or two. This way, four people are responsible for each other's fxxkups.
Most of these guys seem to be in pretty damn good shape to start with. I served in the US military and i gotta say the starting material was not in general as good shape as these guys. We got whipped into shape though!
I imagine a lot of them knew they were going to have to go through this process anyways and put in the work themselves to get where they needed to be. Kinda like the DEP and MEPS does before they ship people off to basic.
I'm American Indian , i was born and raised in America for first 8 years after that i moved to Delhi my father couldnt handle demise of his mother and went back with my mom new to Indian culture . At the age of 16 i wanted to enter Indian airforce but got rejected for three reasons Bad eye sight , American citizen , Bad marks lol.
Yeah it’s the American citizenship why would they take you unless you revoke your American citizenship. Join the American military, you would be better off and have better resources.
@@malsawmdawnglianafanai86 Their bravery is well tested during 1947, 1965, 1971, 1999. They don't need to act tough in front of a camera. Their hard training to survive in Shachen is enough to prove how tough they would become.
thats what you get for voluntary military service, they opt to choose to become soldiers by their own will. Unlike western countries they have to transform recruits first from soft to tough, these boys are already tough
You know even the body of greatest boxer of all time Muhammad ali's body skrinks in So its just about working in youth and serving for others in old age
@@trialbyflames2511 ya lol chutiye. physical endurance doesn't mean you need to have muscular body. you only know it if you have ever actually done some physical training in your life rather then 24x7 watching youtube videos.
Height in the India varies different in different parts of india for eastern and northern part of India minimum height is 160-163 and for central ,west and south part it is 170 because in india every region has different climatic conditions so it particularly effects people height and other things
@@Minerva578 bro i know i am serving in the indian army for some states of india which are hilly areas(himalyan area),east area of india and for gorkhas there is some concession because in the climatic conditions where they leave their body growth are smaller as compared to other parts of india
In physical test 1600 metre race actually time is 5:45 minutes in the notification but usually there are two Qualifying group under 5;15 excellent(60 marks) and under 5:30 good(48marks) then 6 qualifying pushups with 16 marks and 10 are excellent with 40 marks and a zig zag balance of qualifying nature and 9 feet dig jump of only qualifying nature if you qualify all this then they do chest measurement 77cm without expansion and 82 cm with expansion then they check your documents which are required (qualifications and domicile and other) next day is medical checkup day if you qualify medical examination then after 1-2 months you have to give written examination basically some general knowledge question, daily use science related, some maths realted sums or reasoning questions to check your iq if you qualify and comes in the merit you are selected for indian army for (9-12) months training based on regiment or your trade
Ive seen so much of the US military's training and footage in youtube, its nice to see something other than your typical NATO block country. Thanks for this!!
@@Bot-ow2ge your very wrong I believe. I think over all Indians are in better shape than Americans. On average the Indian man is gonna outperform the American in almost anything physical. Except maybe picking something up heavy like once or twice. Cause we’re bigger. Which is kinda useless cause in the military endurance is what prevails. Just look how they live and look how most Americans live. They are different men. And I’m talking about real people from India. Not the ones who are raised in North American from birth. North Americans have gotten soft due to our luxurious lives.
@@-..-..-..-..-..-..-..-..-.. ranger contract is far from easy 60% of people who attempt it fail this includes top performing athletes along with a few from the olympics idk what gave you the impression that becoming an American specialist is easy.
can feel the struggle of my father to get into the army through this level of compitetion and set a standard of lifestyle for me (Pressure is on me now to become something in life)
To all the Foreigners who don't know about the complete Process : Please do research. This is Just an Initial screening process, written exam, oral test, and medical exam are not shown here. and About height don't worry... those who are short will try for other regiment which requires comparatively Less Height. For people with less height still can join Indian Army. This video shows the selection rally of a particular field in army... India is so diverse u can't imagine without knowing it completely. There are many opportunities for youth to join army as jawans... and this is a selection process of Other Ranks, For Officers ( who leads them ) go through a different Process of SSB interview. Having 5 days of testing followed by 1 week of medicals and merit and then 4 to 5 yrs of training...
For everyone saying that short height is better in an army- it is, the height limit for the Indian army is 5'2. The people getting rejected here are genuinely short and relatively inefficient.
Don't comment without knowing anything, Indian army height requirement is 170 5'7 cm and for regiments from North East its lower, same with Ghorkas from Nepal 🇳🇵 its lower !
@@MinatoNamikaze-ib7vq It is 5'2, a quick google search will tell you that (157.5). For specific regions, it's even lower, I'm in fact from one of those regions.
@@Tanaka1943 yeah i know that and we are working on that ..to be honest india is quite diverse in my area or in my district i have never seen doing something like that.
It is like literally the only chance for the ones from poorer families to change their whole family status, hence the competition, hardwork and dedication is of a level none of us can even imagine, like all of their life has led upto this moment, obviously most of them won't get selected, the ones who will will move up in society and the rest will most likely go back to farming or wherever there forefathers did. Sir ji! Salute!!!!
When I saw these young chaps here, I can imagine my dad in their place and feels how much pain and struggle my dad would have endured to get selected in the Indian Navy as an elder most son of his poor parents and only hope for nine younger siblings. The selection to the Indian Navy is almost similar to the Army so I can easily relate to it after watching this video. When I read his personal diary about his journey in a lorry to participate in the navy recruitment in cochin with no money in hands and had only bananas and water to survive many days. I literally felt heartbroken for his painful years to stay away from his family at very young age to give them a bright future. He used to be my look alike in his young days and I could feel the sadness on his face in all his group photos of Navy days, and I know that he must be feeling very lonely without his parents and siblings on his side. On the other side, I played video games ,wandered with friends, fought for small things in his same age and I have received a luxurious and colorful life through out my life with better surroundings. And, today his siblings and their children and grand children makes a big family scattered across globally and all of them leading a standard life, but sadly nobody remembers my poor dad who once boarded that lorry with big dreams to give them a good life. He expressed his love and affection towards his siblings in his personal diaries when he was away from them which he used to write and keep as an habit until his death. What makes me very upset and depressed is that I couldn't do anything to my beloved father. If he is alive today, I would have returned him everything in 100 fold times for the years he sacrificed to bring riches and glory to his family. I love you dad !!
@Nav Sketch You seem to not understand what LTTE is. First of all, it is not a terrorist organization. Second of all they didn’t kill just the LTTE, but civilians too living in the villages. No mercy was given to the children, women, and men who had no part in the war. They all were executed on the spot. Instead of saying offensive things such as “terrorist”, you should do your research on the matter before making a statement.
@Nav Sketch You don’t seem to understand LTTE. They never did drug trafficking or anything. They were a organization of freedom for the oppressed Tamils in that area. Please research before making a statement.
When I was thirteen years old, I joined the Central Security Forces in Aden, the Republic of Yemen, in Khor Maksar in 2010 and worked in the military until the end of 2013. Then I was transferred to Mahra in the east, and a number of members of the security forces reached a thousand soldiers at that time and in 2014 the Nakba began in Yemen and we are still shocked, but I can explain

My father was here as a 16.5 year old lad from a small village in rural Andra Pradesh. He made a life for himself, a and was able to provide well for his family. At his retirement, he had a MA from Poona University and a Bachelor of Engineering. He was at a recruitment center in Bangalore for Indian Airforce in 1960.
1:59 That guy already looks like an actual army😂 not a recruit. I really see passions in him. And that's the kind of guy the army wants. I hope he makes it.
As humans age their metabolism slows down causing accumulation of fat mostly in abdominal area, so a little pot belly is of no concern, but if fat is accumulated in other areas too then they are obese
So true, as funny as it was that is probably the moment that recruit will remember for the rest of his life, and we actually witnessed that magical moment for him.. But that shit would be too funny if he told him turn around LOL
For hand to hand combat, height is a premium otherwise taller persons are excellent target for bullets. In some countries' military academies, it's not the size of the person but more of his brain capacity to lead and innovate during battle.
Indian terrain is a bit too much diverse and difficult where army operates they have got deserts, steep hills, glaciers, plateaus, and what not, so it's a bit difficult for shorter guys to get through these obstacles and cannot perform well in all terrains.
@@lochinvar50 Yes, Also have sikh LI who are generally taller than the rest of Indians. A lot of Indian regiments were local armies that later got incorporated into the IA.
The guy who was turned away at the height test...i feel thats unfortunate. Some roles in the army requires shorter guys though, like armour. And he was only barely shorter than the requirements. Its strange that they take women who are way shorter but men who are taller but didnt meet the requirements got turned away.
The reason why they decline short men is not because they won't make good soldiers, but because they don't want short men representing the Indian army. For the Indian army the image they portray is very important, other countries must think that all Indian soldiers are tall and strong. This mindset is very typical in Asian countries and it's completely opposite from the West where height does not matter. USA army has a height limit of 145cm, so as long as you're not a midget you can join the best army in the world but you cannot join the Indian army.
And then there is my country. Where you are forced to go to army. My friend's height was 155 cm, and he was forced to go to army. He could not even do 10 normal push-ups, and he is eligible for army.
Indian Army selection process is hard than other countries. in India many Army recruiter students fail in running test Cause they qualify only 25, 30 students in one group(atleast 300 students) and after take Medical Test and Written Exam.
I just look at this after experiencing how strict British armed forces selection criteria are (Navy alone rejects 15,000 of their yearly 17,000 applicants) and I'm thinking "well... at least they've got numbers on their side..." I wouldn't be surprised if 80-90% of the men who show up for selection eventually get a rifle and uniform. Soldiers are waving people through the tests even if they fail in most cases here. I can almost guarantee there's minimal if any detailed medical records for most of these guys. They likely do the least possible screening for congenital diseases, mental or physical disabilities, IQ, etc. UK and most western powers realised long ago if a candidate's IQ is below 70 they're not worth training, as they prove a danger to themselves and others in the field and do not grasp key concepts of warfare well enough to be more than cannon fodder. Large armies with either conscription or some form of mandatory service usually don't care about this aspect. I feel bad for a lot of these men if they have to fight. They're not really being screened for service, and with such a huge military willing to take almost anyone, the training is assured to be poor as well.
@@AllThingsCubey not really there is a very through medical test and a written test they have to pass after this to get selected and they have to pass training as well
