Mighty, mighty pleasant fiddling. Thank you for posting it, and I thank the musicians for allowing it to be recorded. Some of the happiest times of my youth were listening to an old Pennsylvania Dutch farmer play many of these tunes on his fiddle. He had to play by ear, as he couldn't read a note of music, , , Thanks again to all concerned!
Step a side Beethoven and Mozart this is real classical music.......I am no milliner......This is million dollar music, but there is no million dollars to be had.....
This was great fiddle playin'. :-) I love gatherings like this, and how that girl in the background just walks up, sits on the ground and eats her food. LOL! By the way, who fed that dog peanut butter? :-)
@@MissMoonshineDance we have rented an Air B&B about 15-20 minutes away for the entire time. I plan to put up a pop up and maybe a tent as I plan to hang out there. I just don't know where to set it up though??? Ideas??
+Patrick Li Old time way! You kinda of just hold it where feels best to an extent, some people have it right in the centre of there chest or in the crrok of there arm.
It's concentration; I play this kind of music, and as happy as it is, it takes concentration to keep the A-A-B-B parts in order. Trust me, they're having a grand time.... or they wouldn't be doing it. Watch John Hartford in some of his old vids, he scrunched up his face as if in pain, but he's just concentrating.
Fiddlers just aren't talented enough to play correctly. I am a VIOLINIST! Any violinist can fiddle but can all fiddlers be a violinist. Just a cover up for no talent.
