Hello again in 2019, times change but beautiful memories remain. That buildup from 1:51 dropping back in at 1:59 has to be one of the finest pieces of OT improv anywhere!
Moonshine V Losing a dog is one of the toughest things to endure. I'm a dobro player from Michigan, but I play festivals in surrounding states. Hope we cross paths someday!
The way you all are driving the tune really draws me in. Hey, Moonshine...another fabulous job of documenting the era. I'm curious as to how you chose to end it abruptly at the point where you did, though. Or did the abrupt cut off choose itself?
At the time of the recording (and on this recording), i was playing a Fielding banjo. But yes, I am playing a Bonefaas today. Loved the Fielding, but looove my Bonefaas :)
West Virginia. Officially called the International String Band Festival I believe. Thousands come in August, camping and playing for a week or more. With covid now, no telling, but it is the best event in the state. Located at Camp Washington Carver.
