The day has come to purchase a new seat. Traveling to Ranch Dominguez, California for the Saddlemen Roadsofa LS. Corbin was my first choice, but trying to make contact since August 24th and not having any of my emails, phone calls returned was my choice not to go with Corbin. Customer service is a huge reason I went went with Saddlemen. Honestly it was my first choice and Corbin was then picked due to Ride-In service. So, when I arrived at Saddlemen the staff was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Justin who I talked to on the phone was working from home, but Alex and the media guy and other staff personnel were giving me great customer service. I left Saddlemen and rode to Santa Monica Pier where I was going to start my Route 66 trip. Stay turn for the video of my trip. Thumbs up for Saddlemen after 1000 miles...so far. FACE...the road.

Being hard when you get it is a good thing. Any good saddle is hard at the start and after it's broke in it will be AWESOME 😎

So far my stock seat has been ok. Starts hurting after about 2 hours. We have ridden all day and it’s been ok, not horrible, not great. You will have to do a long term review for sure!

Hey Two Indians in Texas, I will do a review down the road once I get more time on the saddle. Hope your enjoying your bike. I plan on riding to Texas some day for the Blues, Bikes and Girls located at Love Field during the Rally. It was cancel this year due to Covid-19.

FACE Lopez yeah, a lot of them were cancelled. Sucks. We go to the lonestar rally in Galveston and I want to make it to Arkansas for bbb. That place is my favorite!

Hahahaha!!! You popped by there the day before I did! They told me another Indian rolled through just the day before for the same seat, I can’t believe it’s a fellow motovlogger! I’ve had the exact experience and issues that you’ve had my man. How’d you like that riders back rest? I opted out of it because it’s something I’m not used it.

Glad to hear and those guys at Saddlemen were customer friendly. I didn't have the issues I was having before while coming back home. Of course my ass was already sore..hopefully the seat breaks in some more as time passes. The riders back rest was very helpful on those long days. Gives your back an adjustment for resting and doesn't fatigue as fast. I like it...should say this "old" man appreciates it..haha!

I know exactly what you mean by the seat being firmer and sitting taller...I had a 96 Royal Star which i bought brand new and had for 10 year which i upgraded to a Mustang touring seat and it did the same thing....It was great for 2 up riding which i did when i was married...Good choice👍

Your right, I too had a Mustang touring seat on my street glide and once I broke it in..I love it. I’m looking forward to putting more miles on this Saddlemen!

Nice video. I have the 2020 Indian Challenger Dark Horse. I love it but my only complaint was the seat. Especially on long rides. I ended up looking around and bought the exact same seat that you got minus the red stitching. What a difference. I love the seat but I did take the back rest off. Its just more comfortable for me riding without it.

The seat looks great! I put the same seat on my Road King. They also make the matching sissy bar pad. Enjoy the ride.

I was thinking of getting the matching pad for my passenger, but I'm coming up to 10k miles and my wife still hasn't been on my bike. Maybe soon when the weather gets better.

Did the saddleman seat raise you up did it keep you at stock height?

The Saddlemen did cause a raise. I believe it’s due to being more firm and not the stock foam. It’s not a big difference but, if your feet are not flat on the ground this would probably seem to be an issue. I have a long inseam and it didn’t bother me. I’m still flat foot on both sides.

Yes, I still have the seat. I’ve enjoyed many miles on this saddle, but it’s not for everyone. The Saddlemen complaints I’ve heard others saying it’s to hard and it raises them higher. I’ve adopted back to the original seat with a wind cover to keep my ass cooler on these 100+ temperatures here in Tucson during the summer. It’s been doing me good and I used the original seat to Sturgis and back with no complaints.

how's the saddleman ground height comparing to stock? I am 5'8" and feel like if I get anything that would raise me up from stock position than I would not get good footing, thanks.

Looks nice on the bike. Can you still flat foot it at a stop? I wonder if it fits with the tour pack.

Harry, yes I sit and i'm flat foot and even my legs are bent. I have long legs. Really don't know if they engineered the dimensions to any rack or tour pack. I would contact them and ask. They're really customer friendly people. They don't have a ride-in and get your seat custom made, but who know they might. I know Corbin customs the seat while you wait (option).

Just bought a 2021 challenger limited. Need a seat I was told. Was going to look at Corbin but told it’s a brick. Saddlemans is my other choice after seeing your review. Please inform me of this seat as much as possible. I’m 5’10 inseam 30” and about 270lbs. Please help. Lol I have the trunk installed. Just to make it look like my ultra I sold to get this Indian.

A new video is coming out on May 30. I gave the seat a two-thumbs, due to my ass liking it. I just recorded 10K miles on this seat, and every mile just keeps getting better. The seat is on the harder side, but the seat is made for touring. Let me know what you think about the video coming out tomorrow.

Is that the same as stock measurements or does it push you back a bit???

The stock seat wasn't good for me. It was causing numbness and discomfort. So, these are the reasons I went to the AirHawk cushion, till I could buy a new seat. The stock seat was like seating down in the bottom of the "U" position. It didn't leave any room to adjust myself while riding (measures 12" but seating in that "U" its like 6"). The new Saddlemen Roadsofa LS has no "U" and its more level. It has about .75" more seating area 12.75 and again there is no "U" positioning. The height for sitting back is 6.5" instead of the stock seat being 5" and because of the sitting position its true measurement is about 4". Hope this didn't get confusing, but the stock seat didn't work for me whereas the Saddlemen seat so far is doing the job. Thanks for your interest.
