great video review. I have the same bike. drove from philly to tennesee, mississippi, georgia and then to key west. ran great but that seat seems very G...bought a larger windshield in georgia...
Thanks for the heads up. I've been looking at the roadmaster limited that comes with this seat. I like the cooled feature, as I live in FL. Not sure how comfortable it is for long rides. You can get it on the challenger too as an add on.
I've been considering one of these for my challenger.. its hot AF in FL...but as you say.. 1200 is pretty pricey just to say "lets see if this works"... that said... how well does the cooling work? I hope it actually cools and doesn't just create a swamp!
Thanks for the info. I'm still trying to decide on my next bike, I'm torn between the Springfield Dark Horse and the Chieftain or Challenger. But I really like those handlebars. What do you have on your challenger?
Just bought one for my Springfield Dark Horse... looking forward to trying it. How long does it take for heater/cooler to activate to where you can feel it?
It's not as comfortable as the ones on the Chieftains and Roadmasters. I have a friend that rides a Challenger and she just had the Climacommand seat put on her Challenger a few months back, and she's already complaining that it's feeling hard after an hour of riding. That new seat for the Challenger is shorter than the one offered for the Chieftains/Roadmasters. I've had had mine on my Chieftain since they first came out (the Rogue Climacommand) and I'm still comfortable. I sent the very first one back (the Classic Climacommand with the studs) because it didn't have any set back in the seat. In my opinion, that's what is wrong with the new seat for the Challenger. The Rogue Climacommand I have on my bike will have you sitting back a little further from the hump at the front. I have been happy ever since. I've had 3 back surgeries and facing a 4th (broken rods/loose screws) and this is the best seat I've had on my Chieftain. Don't even get me started on how horrible that stock seat was lol
That’s some great feedback comparing the Challenger seat to the Chieftain. There are definitely better options out there. I rode over 20k miles on it last year so I guess my rear just got used to it. Stay safe good luck on your surgery.
Thanks for the info..but spend $10 and get a cam holder so you’re not hitting the mic all the time 😉 the noise is 😱😱 ..and did I just miss it or did you forget to talk about the big part of this ..the cooling 🤔 didn’t really hear much on that part which I think a lot of us want to know about
I got the Victory flag a few years ago from someone making them and selling on Facebook. The Indian flag is a local rip off if you notice the Indian head is facing the wrong way. If Indian made an official one I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
I will say that the heating part is spot on with other heated seats I’ve used, really only need the low setting where I live. The cooling feature if you’re wearing jeans requires it to be on the high setting to feel it. It does work and I’ve ridden over 10k miles on it the last few months.
I got this seat for %1700 it was a nice seat for just over 1yr and than the seat stopped working. ands Indian will not do anything about it because it only has a 1yr warranty. the seat is in perfect shape just the components are not working anymore. that's a lot of money for any seat and for it to not work just over a yr. and I live in Canada so the seat was only used for like 6 Mouths tops. I have talked to other seat company's and the Corbin has a 1yr warranty on the leather of the seat and a life time warranty on the components of the seat. So if this seat is so good Indian should stand by there seat with a better warranty. thanks
It’s not as cool as sitting on an ice pack. I had a Lexus with cooled seats and it’s hard to say if this is the same. When it’s hot and I’m driving in a car I’m wearing shorts. I’m always wearing jeans on a bike so it’s thicker material to go through. That being said you definitely can feel the cool air down there so I think it’s doing it’s function of keeping it cool and less sweaty down there
This seat is perforated and it blows cool air from what I understand the bead seat cover just creates space between you and the seat but the air is still whatever the ambient temperature is
No you need a Bluetooth device and connect your phone for it to work. There is a button on the Ride Command that is present on my dashboard here but nothing would happen because I don’t have the Bluetooth device turned on. Hope that helps
Not to be a dick, but... you did a review on a heated and cooled seat. Yet, you made absolutely Zero comment and review of the heating and cooling effect!?!?!? So I'm a bit confused as why this video exists!? Absolutely comfort is in important and needs to be included... but no mention of the heating and cooling effect on a heated and cooled seat... which is why we would pay the big bucks for!?... and search out a video review of. Which was your post. Again I'm just very confused to the point of this video!
