I am 69 and had cancer. Lost 60 lbs and all my body mass muscle. Had a ultra, 2 street glides and a trike. The only bike I could pick up was my Honda vtx-1300. Deck it with Corbin saddlebags and touring seat. Ride what you like and keep true to the sport.

As a long time H-D rider I really like Indian's attention to detail with the little creature comfort type things - the puddle light, the way you press the start button and let it go, the IO power button, power locking saddlebags, power adjustable windscreen, etc. One has to go to the aftermarket for stuff like that (if it's available) on a Harley - or many other makes for that matter.

@Ron Pleake ---> I recently bought a 2020 HD Electra Standard and had to change the bars, the seat and the shocks to feel comfortable. After riding from the HD dealership for only 33 miles the muscles between my shoulder were cramping up so much with the stock seat and handlebars that I had to sit off to one side of the seat and hang three fingers over each bar grip and with my little fingers hanging off to the side of the grips to have better wrist position so my wrist wouldn't cramp. I don't have problems with m wrist either. I'm 5 feet 11 inches tall and weigh 178 pounds. Over lots of small bumps on the highway or back roads, the ride on this bike is just brutal with the stock shocks. I wish now that I had bought the Challenger instead, but it was not available when I bought this Harley. I also own a 2014, Victory Cross Country tour and the ride over bumps is even better than a Harley Ultra classic that I test rode and the ride on my 2020 Harley Standard with the stock shocks rides over bumps like a 1960 Volkswagen.

I've owned Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and now a Harley, and I liked all of them for different reasons. My 2017 Ultra Classic is the best bike I've ever owned, though. I would love to have an Indian if my wife would let me LOL! Harley has the most extensive dealer network, though, and that, along with custom parts availability, really gives them an advantage. I hope Indian will be able to grow and offer more. It's good for everybody.

Demo Days here in Memphis at the local Indian dealer this past weekend. Did a 30 minute ride on the Challenger and I can tell you it's super comfortable, has awesome power and torque, very nimble, at 80mph on the interstate with the windshield up(I'm 6'2" I could still see over it easily) absolutely zero head buffet, it looks great, shifting is smooth, and it's a head turner. Personally I like the look of this fairing over the Road Glide. The best comment I can give is that in July 2019 I bought an Anniversary edition Street Glide Special with only 600 miles on it. Love the bike. On the way back to the Indian dealer toward the end of the Demo ride all I could think about was would they give me enough trade in so that I could get the Challenger. Didn't stick around to find out but in my opinion I would buy this bike any day of the week over the Road Glide. Just my two cents.

@@longjammeriii3323 hell yeah that's awesome I actually watch a lot of videos from the England area and I noticed that the people there really like cars and motorcycles just like we do I've been all over the world but I haven't been there yet hopefully I can make it before it's too late I'm only 35 now so I have some time.

Adam, I so very much admire you for your balanced and in my opinion, healthy view of what owning a motorcycle is all about. I posted your video on a motorcycle forum saying that your comments concerning the Challenger/Road Glide issue is the best I’ve seen.

Do you guys not remember when Harley stole the idea of a fixed fairing from Kawasaki and everyone said back then, if I want to ride a Kawasaki I'll go buy a Kawasaki. Now Harley Riders love their Kawasaki, lol😆😆

That's a good point, I had a 81 Suzuki GS with a Craig Vetter fixed fairing and I think he is the one who started this trend.

Craig Doud I was thinking the same. I put a Vetter fixed fairing on a Yamaha 650 in the early 70’s.

BMW had the first fixed fairing, followed by Harley Davidson and then Honda. Kawasaki and Suzuki were a year later.

After watching Matt Laidlaws ramble on roasting Indian, I'm glad to see someone realize that competition is best for the consumer. I've own both Indian and Harley's (more Harley's) and your right, I'm tired of buying a new bike only to invest another $6000 to make it rideable. Keep doing you, Adam. Keep on riding.

Blacked out Kawasaki GPZ 550,750 and 1100 way back in the early 80's. Way before Harley and Indian.
