Thank you for doing this video. I'm pretty good at reading written knitting instructions, but sometimes it helps to see someone doing the stitch. I think this stitch would be perfect for a long, drape-y stole with a beautiful knotted fringe on the ends.
Definitely subscribed!! Can't get enough of your tutorials. I am so new & just watching you is a real blessing. Someday, hopefully, I will glide through my stitches as you do. Happy knitting!
I tried doing this stitch three years ago. Needless to say it didn’t work! (English Style) But you knit the way I do so it’s a lot easier when you do it! What a fantastic teacher 👨🏫☺️🌹
Thank you for sharing your talent with me. Ive seen this pattern many times and have hesitated in learning it for it looks very complicated. Whether you know it or not, you have instilled confidence in me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have saved your video for future use and a thumbs up. Thank you for teaching me the Indian Cross Stitch. With sincere Gratitude, Carolyn.
I live near a hospital but you must really live near a hospital and a police and fire department LOL You have nerves of steel. I love this pattern. I have made scarves and sold them just two they were so admired! Thank you for sharing your lovely videos --- you are talented!!!
Not only am I near the police/ems/fire buildings, I am near the main street through town on one side and a major highway on another, plus there is an airport in the area and planes are sometimes loud overhead depending on which direction they are coming in. Where I grew up, the fire station was right behind our house.. which was also near the river and a railroad, and I am so used to sirens, whistles, tractor trailers, trains and boats making all kinds of noise that I don't even notice it half the time :-) Glad you found the video helpful, and way to go for having the patience to make an entire scarf out of this stitch! I don't think I could do it.
I have been knitting for many years but because I am the only knitter in my circle of friends (they all crochet!) I've never ventured beyond basic knit, purl. Thanks to your videos I am branching out. I can't wait to give this stich a try.. Then on to cables!.. *Do you have videos on how to do cable stitches?* *Fingers crossed!*
MamaOv2Monkies Hi! I do have cable videos. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_HgPp6Y8_ME.html is the basic how to and then I have one on how to cable without a cable needle here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_1GxOx0klgU.html
This pattern had me wanting instant gratification as a tutorial, so at the bottom of the video, under *settings* the speed was set to 1.25. This had that faster construction of the pattern, for my first pass, as an over-view. MANY THANKS!
I haven't seen this stitch before. It looks interesting, fairly speedy to do I should think, though I can see myself using a crochet hook to take cross the stitches. Haven't tried Continental knitting either, on my 'to do' list. :)
The pattern says multiple of 8. But wouldn't it be a multiple of 8 plus 2? The pattern is 8, plus a k1 for the first stitch and a k1 for the last stitch of each row?
You are amazing, I am a new knitter learned, your tutorial is very well explained, Ill use this for a men scarf, I think will look really nice. Your concentration is incredible, I can hearing your baby =),. All ready subscribe, Thank you once again. X
Hi guys! Susan, you may enjoy Melanie Berg's "The Joker and the Thief" shawl pattern. Her use of colour and texture is brilliant. That's why I searched for this, and as always, iknitwithcatfur's video was perfect. Thank you so much - your videos never fail to help me master a new technique, or refresh one I may not have used for decades (as in this case!!) Here is the link to the shawl I'll be making, except in different yarns. Isn't it wonderful?????? www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-joker-and-the-thief
Sorry, but the way to knit Indian cross stitches the right way is shown by Iknitwithcatfur. The "gaps" are not in a straight line, but will shift for every second pattern row. Kind regards - Ingeborg is sho
