They both looked great though I'd probably have given the nod to the Indian curry as well. Though, to be honest, I kind of wish I hadn't watched this video today. It made me super hungry for Indian food and I just got two teeth pulled so I'm on a soup only meal plan for the next day!

Impossible to choose between them as totally different cuisines. Love a Lamb Rogan Josh and the meal you had looked excellent but there was a fusion thing going on with the presentation , prefer my Indian more traditional. Turtle Bay and that Jamaican goat curry though really had me salivating as my go to fave whenever I visit and worth the extra couple of quid. Jamaican's love colour and flavour , combine this with a better presentation if I was pushed to choose between them the goat curry wins 😁 Great reviews fella 👍

Part of the dining out experience for me is the actual venue both of which in this review were lovely! I love a good curry this one in tamatanga was well presented, with a good proportion of lamb which looked tender & nice portion of rice the mango drink looked refreshing too! I've never tried goat curry but this looked nice & although I don't mind spicy I think this one may have been too much for me. Plenty of refreshing lemonade to drink with this, so for me tamatanga is the winner! Thank you for this great review, take care 💜

I would go for the Indian as Lamb is my favourite meat, and the spices were milder. I have eaten goat before, and it's tasty, but I don't enjoy very hot spice and chillis raw on the plate like that. Though I love rice & peas. To be honest, when your plate arrived I thought it was pink fuchsia flowers on top! 😅 Then you said pickled cabbage! 😮😂

At the East Indian restaurant you need to order the lighter colored curry that is made with yogurt and has a light orange color, for example, Butter Chicken. The Caribbean countries with East Indian citizens, Trinidad and Guyana, who came after slavery, do not use yogurt in their curries and they are always a dark brown color. Jamaican curry is made slightly different from the Trinidadian and Guyanese curries. I am from the Caribbean but you can Goggle Caribbean people cooking their curries on You Tube. I like both the Indian curry from India and the curry from Indians who came to the Caribbean and Guyana to work on the sugar plantations. Curry tastes better when it is served with white rice, regular long grain white rice or Basmati rice.

Indian curries usually don't use thyme instead they use coriander. They tend to go heavy on various spices inc curry powder. Caribbean curries tend not to be heavy on multiple spices but use a good quality curry powder. Caribbean curries use both coriander, thyme and scallion. Scotch bonnet isn't exclusive to Caribbean its also used perhaps not as much in the indian sub continent. They tend to use finger chillies, birds eye chillies and naga. For me indian curries are better tasting. Caribbean cuisine is heavily influenced by the indian sub continent and this isnt the other way around. This is not to say that caribbean dishes aren't delicious because they are.

Hard to judge. In both cases the food probably arrives at the restaurant in a van from a central factory, each portion heat sealed in plastic to be microwaved to order. Rice will be same as those 69p 250g bags of microwaveable rice you get at Aldi. I’d stick with a ready-meal curry from M&S for a quarter the price, or if you really need to go out, a Thursday Curry Club at a ‘Spoons for around £10 including a 5.4% ABV pint of Brewdog Punk.

The first place you went on this comparison. I had to stop watching! All that oil in the curry! You're a young man, I would, as an old man say, google vegetable oil and heart health. You might well be surprised.... I cook many curries, at least twice a week, and you can replace all these seed oils with Ghee. How the Indians do it. Live healthier my friend!
