Same thing I tell to each person advocating for the US. Yes, they have top.of the line technology but what good is it if it is never delivered or comes with conditions which makes it impossible to use ?. Case in point, if both mk1a and mk2 were designed ( at the initial phase) as twin engine then snecms m88 could have been used and thus entire fiasco avoided. When will people learn, USA cannot and should not be trusted. There's anecdotal evidence for the same.

200 tejas mk2 by 2039? do they understand the concept of mass production.. thats not even an average of 24.. we must have 40 Mk2/year.. involve private sector ASAP.. and have atleast 350 Tejas mk2.. by 2040.. else we cant fight China.. problem is with Airforce too, why they say 200 mk2 and 150 AMCA.. when clearly, China is making 1000+ J20 by 2035.. our aim should be atleast 350 AMCA.. and 350 Tejas Mk2.. nd 400 Mk1A.. NO LESS.. increase the installed capacity by crazy numbers.. include TATA and L&T asap..

@@le_ecrivaine i pay my part bro.. govt has to increase the defense budget.. they reduced it from 2.8% to 1.8%.. govt should make defense budget 3%.. cant they see the international and the rising internal challenges? Govt has to intervene in HAL nd remove the bureaucratic hurdles.. govt has to make the Private sector intervene nd increase the production capacity.. If US can have 300+ production capacity, if china can hav 200-250 production capacity, India cant have 100? Its the need of the hour.. u aim for it today, only then after 5 years things can happen.. if ur 5-10 year goal is also a damn 24 production capacity, good luck making 42 squadrons even till 2045.. 🤷‍♂️ stop the rhetorics, things are easy if system is willing and understand the threat.. which i dont think they do..!!

Even after many delays in Tejas program expectation always grows on HAL & ADA. Hope MK1A production variant gets delivered & performance tested against 4++ Gen fighters ASAP. Another 20 numbers of F404 used engines available in Tech Demonstrators, Prototypes and Limited Series production what will happen to them after MK1A production variant. Not sure how powerful Tejas MK2 design will be with a single engine but hope experts think of converting MK2 to twin engines to get additional thrust to weight ratio.

Mrfa is dead project instead of concentrating on mrfa we must buy 3 or 4 squardons of rafale or atleast buy kf21 and 6 to 8 squardons of tejas mk2 depending upon trails and concentrate more on amca fighter jets 300 to 350 and start a development of sixth generation fighter jet for the replacement of 4th generation fighter jet after 2055 or 2060.

On the same lines,can explore the possibilities of Tejas mark 3 and prototype can be anticipated by 2060 and roli out 1st unit by 2080 if u rely on American Engines Seriousness is missing on depleting squardron strength.Better spend funds on development/research with private/Govt participation.This would certainly make home grown engine and production much before F404 and f414 import from US.This help roll out of any variant of tejas mka1a,2 oer even 3 etc.

The problem with DRDO is that they dont innovate and take lead in innovating themselves, instead requirements push them or army tell them to make particular type system only then they will pursue to make that system, as long as R/D in india is headed by a department which depends on govt approval and govt funds there will always will be lack lusture progress and india can never go ahead globally for eg look at the launcher of pinaka and look at the launcher of HIMMARS u will get the answer,, the pinaka launcher is manually operated n old design., it does not have ballistic wind shield for crew safety. During various exhibitions many countries pointed that out and it goes against the sale of pinaka, so there r many indian products which have old design n components which always get us on negative side, in this i like south korea very much, pretty strong industrial complex and faster innovation and very fast production rate, really they get everyone impressed ❤, recently a general of armenia during south korean visit indirectly pointed out and said " instead of spending on cheap and hopeless systems armenia should spend on expensive and capable systems, he was referring to south korean ANALOGUE of HIMMARS which looked quite modern and capable comapred to pinaka

Modi reformers intend to right size 40 taxpayer funded DRDO Labs & Establishments trying to reinvent every already invented wheel by outsourcing development to the private sector that will also produce it for Profit required to drive Competitive Innovation - so DRDO can focus on leading edge tech too risky for the private sector but with a private sector partner selected at program inception to take any promising developments to market - like DARPA...

Indias rating is low in usa. That's why apache will be delivered next year. The way everything is getting delayed please integrate al41f engines in mk2 if usa is not interested in giving 414 engines. Side by side start producing mk2 with Russian engines. Highly possible that usa will put hurdles obstacle and mk2 will take 5 years more delay if relied on usa alone.

Why should US give F414 for Tejas.2 production planned for 2030 when HAL is preparing to Make In India F414 for 2028 that it should have already been doing years ago for AL31 after 272 Su30MKI and RD33 after 130 MiG29/K...
