I will say, those who write the reports, must tell their source of information clearly, and the report must be properly elaborated, instead of writing some few paragraphs. I remember, some report had got published regarding sanctioning of a foreign part used in Tejas, but it was not covered that it's indigenous alternative is already getting built.

Yes 100% right. Don't build rafales but build orca as it is our indigenous product with lot of savings and lot of experience our engineers will get. Also regarding tejas maintability fix it asap as these are the processes which gives experience how to counter problems and what will be upcoming issues in tejas. It is better these issues are coming before the exports. All the best.

It doesn't work like that... HAL doesn't have anything to do with aircraft development whether Tejas or any other... Aircraft development is done by ADA and DRDO. HAL is the manufacturing partner, Also, HAL is not the one having problems... there are global supply chain problems in aircraft industry currently because of Rus-Ukr situation. As for AMCA, HAL is currently in the preliminary stages of making AMCA prototype but that is it... that doesn't have anything to do with ORCA program.

Yep - TEDBF is Navy ORCA that's twin engine Tejas.2 that's stretched Tejas.1A with canards as part of an iterative development + production process to minimise Cost and mitigate Risk - with 3 separate consecutive clean sheet programs in a decade even too Risky for US much less 3 simultaneous clean sheet programs...

Both IAF and NAVY should go for TEDBF and ORCA it's the only option,and I think in our country we have developed all the required technologies for 4.5 generation aircraft.

@@lolikapena8411 China claims its planes are 5th gen, but claims do not make it so. There is no indication it is even stealthy let alone a stealth plane. 5th gen is also just a marketing term, not a technical term with so called stealth planes showing up on modern AESA radars.

Wonderful. What an amazing development 👏 something which is not even ready for induction, has not gone in production 🤔.. Here listening to new program orca whete already lined up are some as mk1a, mk2, tedbf, amca 😮 What remains to say more.. God knows what will be the next program. none of these are available to airforce. Exports marketing is on. Now something which is not developed yet is been announced by foreign entity to be flying at airshow next year 🤔 Are we living in multidimensional world 🌎 where all these imagination 🤔 are considered to be realistic flying adding to line of defense practically. Wonderful ❤️ We should focus on Tedbf and ORCA. Foreign jets should be bought in small batches 40 to 50 maximum with a variety of technology. 60 40 is a very good buying option. It gives good incentive to the loosing company also to stay in business as well as completing the procurement in under 5 years. Good News 👍 👍 👍 I'm happy after long time with defense news.

Now it has come down to Maintain ability of Tejas mk1- the model that has no aesa, ews, less hard points, still it is difficult to bear mininal operations.... What can we do about mk1A, Su30s upgrades, Amca etc. - Clearly Make HAL a PPP, it will be intriguing for pvt sector to join it before Maharatna status. Tata is the only trustworthy business, already have tie-up with Boeing & RRoyce, apart from Experience of Commercial Airlines + Rebuilding Firms like Jaguar & LRover. Buiz meetings in Taj Hotels worldwide could be beneficial for HAL to be easily assisted. BEL must be invited too specifically.

Actually orca is very practical one. We have a clear technology of Tejas mk1a so use Tejas mk1a internals and kaveri engine and use that into tedbf airframe. Drop Tejas 2. This will make faster development. Tedbf is a super airframe compare to Tejas 2 so we can upgrade engine and internals over the time when amca becomes ready.

I can't think of even one Indian fighting platform that could possibly compete on a global scale. Oh, and let's not forget, we kicked off the LCA project back in the glorious eighties. Until Indian companies magically evolve into powerhouses that can produce world-class platforms, guess we’ll just have to keep shopping abroad.

Imaginary TEDBF production skipped, skipping right to the even more imaginary ORCA production The IAF hasn't even officially sanctioned the ORCA design. TEDBF will have very limited numbers as a carrier only order. We should really focus on getting Tejas MK2 and AMCA out on time.

@@techeves6024 MRFA should be cancelled as it is an enormous waste of money where no aircraft featured offers anything that India cannot already produce (su-30mki, soon MK1A) that is as good if not better. Today we don’t even have Tejas Mark-1A in service, this is proof that all future fighters MWF, AMCA & TEDBF/ORCA can be delayed even at the last moment and it is reasonable to believe that all will face their fair share of delays, but the retirement of obsolete fighters in service with the Air Force can’t be delayed. So if the government cancels MRFA and we wait for all delays in indigenous fighters to be resolved, our country will lose the minimal credible deterrence that is required to maintain national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Our experts and our nationalists are not realising that delay in Tejas MK2 and not starting TEDBEF is putting our security at risk. We still need Western or Russian aircrafts for defence at the same time we cannot be so behind in developing our own. US has developed more than 100 different types of aircraft since World War 2 and we can't develop two version of Tejas, TEDBEF, Kaveri Engine and we keep imagining AMCA. Bird in hand is better than two in the bush.

No concerted efforts are visible on the part of government to expedite the development of jet engines and aircraft designs and testing . At one point of time Indians particularly from Andhra dominated the Aeronautics faculties in IISc , IITs and USA universities . The talent pool has to developed again . Although there is no comparison but Defence Minister should get into Gadkari mode .

Govt should give a thought considering capabilities of ADA, HAL & Airforce. It's clear now fighter design, prototype- development and testing are much more complex than just production manufacturing. One of the main principles is we should not face supply chain problems throughout its life cycle & life extension. Unlike Mirage 2000 India faced problems of spare parts & upgrade due to its production line stoppage. I support local design & mfg. At any cost India should have one light & one medium category fighter. On the other hand, considering the one-time price of India enhancement of 1.9 billion USD we have paid to Rafale in 2016 it will be a waste if we don't add another 2 to 6 squadrons in a short time.

Mrfa is dead project instead of concentrating on mrfa we must buy 3 or 4 squardons of rafale or atleast buy kf21 and 6 to 8 squardons of tejas mk2 depending upon trails and concentrate more on amca fighter jets 300 to 350 and start a development of sixth generation fighter jet for the replacement of 4th generation fighter jet after 2055 or 2060.

You always quote "some experts and retired officers" but never say who they are or the actual source from where you get the data. Aren't it all your own making to create confusion among listeners... When you show pictures on armament, 99% of the time they are American videos... The description is about Indians, but the picture is of foreign armed forces..
