I have always watched F1 on TV and until this day I never imagined that these engines made such loud noise. I am just sitting here with pieces of my brain scattered all around the room. Wow, just wow.
Crazy Pug As others have said, the V10 where just incredible. TV never done F1 justice. Saw them in Spa about 20yrs ago and the sound/feeling is so hard to describe. We were at a really slow corner but had the long straight behind us. You could hear them coming, flat out and not only hear them downshift but feel it too. Hard to describe the feeling but like a shotgun going off beside you every time they downshifted. I really hope with the new American owners, things will go back to at least the v8s. F1 is not supposed to be eco friendly. It's supposed to be deafening, raw and fast. Bring back refueling too. These machines should be run at their limits.
I've been to both NASCAR and F1. NASCAR sounds better, much louder. And the flyby is better at big ovals because they are going 180-190 across the start finish line(where I usually sit). Both are very enjoyable though, not knocking F1 at all. I just prefer the spectator experience of NASCAR.
@@Viper3048You're definitely not knocking F1 at all. Watching cars racing around in an oval is BORING AF for me, I don't know how they sit through that. Not to mention the aesthetic look of F1 cars is WORLDS better to me than Nascar :/. Sorry bud, I prefer the circuit racing of F1 not to mention the F1 sounds better to me than that Nascar sound.
+REALTRIZX dont worry, now there is introduction of wastegate exhaust pipe which should make the v6 loder than before, even though its not louder than v8's
l34052 Totally agree mate. I was at the last Spa race about 20yrs ago. Not sure if the were v12s or v10s then but it was just incredible. I still tell people about that experience!!!
my thoughts exactly, it's this very moment I miss the sound the most. The moment the lights go on, they all start pumpin up the revs. goddamn I miss that.
@@agustinechevarria8048 No its not. I was watching F1 on Nurburgring last season and the cars were damm loud. A lot louder than your average motorcycle. Loudest engine was the Mercedes, you could feel it in your chest when it passed by.
@@edgar2trappy if you think a v6 is loud, (which it is) you wouldnt believe how loud a v8 is, comparing a v8 to a v6 is like comparing a loud sports bike with a fighter jet
I really wish I could watch a live Formula 1 race! I've been a lifelong fan and I must say I felt physically uplifted after this video! I guess I gotta wait for post coronavirus 😔
4:52 ❤️❤️ Love that Ferrari fan.... Hope all these croud , these F1 cars , this enthusiasm will return to INDIA..... One Day 🥲🥲... Please god make it Happen 🥺🥺
It's seriously one of the best things ever! It seems even more wow from a supporters view! I seriously need to go to one of these at some point soon for sure!
Even completely out of sight on the other side of the circuit these cars are clearly audible, how the FIA and other team bosses etc etc say that fans will get used to the shit sound of 2014 is beyond me. I watched australia in total disbelief and then the 2nd race just to see if australia was an anomily but no there they were PAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRPPPP round the circuit, i havent watched any more races cos the specatcle has completely gone for me. Thank you jean todt and your FIA goons for ruinin such a great sport.
***** TV isn't flattering at all, it kind of makes F1 boring. IRL it's pretty amazing. They could do a better job with the camera angles and sounds but I guess that would require them to spend a little and I don't think they'll do that
***** I might be one of the few REAL F1 fans who comment on F1 RU-vid videos when I say I don't care what the engines sound like, I've watched almost every F1 race live since 1986 and all I ask for is a bloody good race :). That's all that matters.... the best drivers in the world doing what they do best having a darn good race. It makes those that refuse to watch F1 because of how the engines sound.... very silly indeed!.
it was much louder at the circuit with the v8 you couldn't take off your ear protectors as it physically hurt it was already so loud with them on you had to press them against your ears to be able to tolerate the noise
l34052 Agreed, I was at Montreal this year..during the V8 era, I could hear the cars for most of the lap and I could tell where they were more or less on the circuit, whereas now, it was harder: while still generally loud it wasn't like before; less piercing and less distinct. i could only hear the cars for about three or four corners (if I was lucky) before they were no longer audible...
That very high-pitched sound came from cars that revved to 20,000 rpm with the V8. They now rev much lower (15,000) with a V6 (28 piston strokes per second).
This is one thing I do not think I will ever experience in life ..... I wish you held the camera a little sturdy errrrr lol, I’m guessing too much adrenaline hahahaha nice video that sound was amazing
From Britain, you've every right to be proud of your amazing, beautiful country. I been to India twice, and love it. I was actually there for this race.
Wow. I never realized what i missed. Id never had a chance to whatch a race. Not iven whit V10 or V8. The only thing now i can whatch bigger buffed up go karts
Hi, i'm a student at Plymouth University undertaking a design module as part of a mechanical engineering degree. A group of 5 other engineers and myself are designing a formula 1 track and we were wondering if we could have your permission to use some of your footage in our promotional videos? We can't use any footage form the bbc/sky but your video is one of the best quality fan footage videos i've seen. Any help would be greatly received Olivia Ellard
well you are comment is not anti-Indian, rather its a point of view from a fan, India has money to organize such a sport and it does so to promote tourism and reap its economic benefits. This in turn makes a few genuine F1 fans in India happy, while others come for the glitz and glamour. from your point of view even USA doesn't deserve/need a GP as they are quite happy with their Nascar and Monster Trucks. I believe that more than France , Finland deserves a GP ,don't you think?
This is a great example of how that brilliant screaming was a huge part of the excitement. To hear the cars in the distance and anticipate them is so much apart of the F1 experience
