Dear Shan. You said EVERYTHING, that I had in my mind and was my opinion. First of all, this season, had rejuvenated me to believe, how RACIST Indians are abroad. As you so clearly said, they are all from well do families, but want an Indian partner. I mean sick MFs, these people are in America, but have a thinking of 14th or 15th century feudal thinking. My own wife is an American WHITE girl. Her life is such a blessing to me. She took care of my father, when he was on his death bed. She literally washed all his excreted clothes by hand, and kept him so clean. She NEVER allowed me or mom, to help, because she was so happy to take care of him since she too had lost her father, long ago. I can't understand, why are this attached to their own race? What if some white or asian or even a black person had the best of qualities in them? How can these "privileged" SOBs be so myopic in their approach, living in USA? I have seen so many wonderful people who have mixed marriages, Indian and American, and they are happily married. They have kids and all, and so happy together. Marrying anyone out of your race, is NOT ALWAYS, a bad choice. If i had such a myopic view, I would have NEVER met someone as wonderful and loving as my wife is. One just needs to be open to be broad minded, and keep their feet on the ground. The world has moved on, and so should people too. In my building, here in Pune, the marriages that have happened, one broke up after 3 months, and one broke up after 14 years. There is a guy who has had multiple marriages now and divorces too. In the midst of all this, there is my marriage of 8 years, and going strong. Nadia wants a Guyanese guy, with Indian origin. Aparna wants a "Perfect" guy so does Viral. You have everything but no common senses, and as you, so rightly said, Shan, a little give and take needs to be there. This "I" attitude is going to get you nothing, no matter how much money you have. Thank you Shan, got stating everything I had in my mind. God bless you in you career and your future. Your wife sounds like a blessing... keep her close and safe, because that empathy is so rare in this world. While I don't agree that wanting to marry an Indian is racist, I do agree that these numpties have backward thinking. Even Indians in India are surely more advanced than this. As NRIs (not born in India, parents not born in India) we cling tightly to our ideas of 'Vatan', and some misguided rich idiots like on this show refuse to expand their minds. I'm sure they won't be able to handle a truly Indian mindset! I married an English man and have the most loving in-laws too, but my cousin had an arranged marriage with an India here and she is even expected to serve her grandparents-in-law's parents 😲 these plonkers' egos wouldn't even let them bring an elder a glass of water without making a song and dance about it. Ugh... thank goodness for Shan's roasts!!!
I hated Aparna's character the most. Pradyuman seemed little better than Aparna, in the sense that he did not have inflated ego. Nadia's character was okayish.

I felt so bad for Shekhar. I liked Nadia in the first season, but this was something else. When Seems finally tells her on her face that she is not serious about getting married I think a lot of us were nodding in unison.
Nadia was a big let down in this season. I feel like no one on the whole show is looking for a husband/wife, they are just looking for a boyfriend/ girlfriend.

Seeing Nadia getting dumped by Vishal was most satisfying given what she did to Shekhar. Irony is Vishal gave her the same exact reason she had given to Shekhar, however she wasn't decent enough like Shekhar to receive it gracefully . I don't believe in karma but that definitely was a classic what goes around comes around case

I am disappointed that you didn't talk abt the chicken guy and pradyumnan. I too noticed how Nadiya played Shekhar. Seema aunty asked her to check what Shekhar is thinking but instead of asking his thoughts she just dumped him blaming him for it. It was very manipulative. Till then i had liked her but then i understood what a player she is
I was able to watch the first episode of Indian matchmaking. Couldn't get through it. The people are way too shallow. I was losing my trust in humanity while watching it
"These NRIs are so prejudiced" well no kidding. Try growing up as the only brown person amongst a bunch of white people. You're gonna have an inferiority complex by virtue of the bs you have to grow up listening to about their view of Indians and Indian culture. Then you're gonna overcompensate by being the model minority and be successful yet still have that deep seated inferiority and prejudice instilled since childhood. I'm glad Indians seem above this but we all know NRI and Indian people both who act this way and it's almost always because they got fcked up in the head during childhood and now trying too hard.

I totally loved the show this time!! There were couple who were nice and real and they got someone who was nice and real. They show us how the world of rich ppl is and how many of them are so shallow and have no clue real life and compromises are about. Without this show I would have never known this

This show will be as famous as big boss. Half of the people will hate it and watch it for that, and half will come out in support of the "characters" and watch it. Since it's on international platform Netflix it's a gateway drug into Indian culture, hence it will gain outside audience too.

Their mindset is so downmarket, their "checklists" are fucked up. They don't want love, they are there for the "soshabaazi". I know people who are so lovable yet are single because they choose to be, or are waiting for someone, or their long term partner passed away. These people on the show are capable of anything but love.

The thing is the show is completley raw and right. We all say having so many demands and checklists and all in finding a love partner is very show off and unrealistic but in real life sometimes we too have the same expectations..its just that we don't have a matchmaker to tell it to
What viral said is actually true, why people are so butthurt about it. I had perfectly fine earning friends who married at 23, and now they cannot even think of travelling with their children, they do have a functional job, but I think they committed before knowing when to settle. Rather people who took despite being in relationship, chose to take risks with job, new degree, travel to foreign universities are doing good too, and have really all wish-lists ticked off the list, now they can settle & get married. It’s important to know what you want other wise you will feel trapped in most beautiful cage.
