The Naval Aviation Museum is a military museum located in Bogmalo, 6 km from Vasco da Gama, Goa, India. This is one of the famous Vasco Da Gama tourist places.
This museum contains exhibits that showcase the evolution of the Indian Naval Air Arm over the decades. The museum is divided into two main parts, an outdoor exhibit, and a two-story indoor gallery. The museum was inaugurated in October 1998 and is one of the two military aviation museums in India, the other being the Indian Air Force Museum, Palam in Delhi. The Naval Aviation Museum is the only of its kind in Asia.
The outdoor exhibit includes various decommissioned planes, such as Short Sealand Mk 2, Fairey Firefly TT Mk1, HAL HT-2, de Havilland Vampire T-55, Hawker Sea Hawk FGA Mk 100, Breguet Alizé, de Havilland Dove, HAL Chetak, Hughes Hu-300, Westland Sea King Mk 42, Lockheed L1049G Super Constellation, Kamov Ka-25, and Sea Harrier FRS.51.
In the indoor exhibit, visitors can read and learn about key battles the Indian Air and Naval forces have participated in and are divided into theme-based rooms. There is one movie room too, which plays movies at a certain time in the day.
