Would recommend Sydney to Perth, for more daylight Off Train Experiences. Or Darwin to Alice Springs on the Ghan.

Great video. We have been lucky enough to have done Sydney to Perth on the Indian Pacific and Adelaide to Darwin on The Ghan. They are both fantastic but we think the Indian Pacific is the best experience because of the Nullabor Plain. Next trip, Perth to Sydney.

I wouldn't recommend Perth to Sydney, as the stop at Kalgoorlie is in the dark and the stop at Broken Hill is no longer available going East. Go on a Cruise instead, much better value.
