Indian philosophy has been neglected not because of influence of western philosophy. There are some indian organization those who are paid for Development of indian philosophy but they work for western philosophy. Instead of teaching the original text of Indian philosophy they are add the superficial syllabus of Indian philosophy. I think the indian universities should add some original text in their syllabus
There may be three cause why people attracted towards western philosophy 1- The information are easily available and accessible 2- western philosophy based on verifiable principles. 3- They spread their philosophy through Different social media and the material are easily available. In India if you observe the different universities and other educational institutions give much importance on western philosophy
