Welcome back everyone. Today I am showing you a step-by-step installation of the Indian sissy bar onto my Chieftain Dark Horse. This installation will be the same for the Indian Springfield motorcycles and all Indian Chieftain models. I will also be showing you how to remove the Indian touring hard saddlebags in the process of this installation. I am also doing the permanent installation of the sissy bar, which is the same as the quick release installation, I just add the tamper proof bolt so the sissy bar can not be removed and stolen as long as your saddlebags are locked.
You will need the following tools for this installation:
4mm hex head socket
6mm hex head socket
Torque wrench for your sockets (you will need to be able to adjust torque to 25 ft. lbs. of force and 7.5 ft. lbs. of force).
