wow. i found one almost exactly like that a few weeks ago, same color even. I posted it in an arrowhead group i had joined and they all laughed at me. I still feel its an artifact and i kept it. i left the group. i love your videos.

As someone that has an actual degree in archaeology and have been on many sites I can say with 100% certainty that this is not a knife or a scraper or ever touched by human hands except yours. It is what we call a pot lid. I freeze cracked portion of a rock.

You are spot on with your find & these are real treasures used to do some real sould bonding when ou pick one up that her or she just laide down about. These hunter-gather folk were turning out these "Craftsment" & "Snap-On" tools along time a go with the Life time guarntees. And long, long, before the bow & arrows was a dream in Cupi's Chili Bone for sparking & mating purposes. These points that get shown with the stone tool collections are truly pipe dreams in their Great Great Great Grand Kids and In-Laws heads and cell phones.

I recently found a scraper identical to the one you have in every way. And you're right it feels like you could use it all day long without getting a blister or anything from holding it firmly. I found it on the bank of a river so I don't think it's as old as you think but I do believe it is an indian artifact and not just a rock. What would an artifact like this be worth?

I believe these may be hammer tops used in the construction of building stone structures to provide a precise split for breakage between stones for largely building purposes, hence the pointed edges allows for greater ease in the ability for creating a fracture line among selected stones to for a controlled split among desired breaking points. This may be a key component in the methodology of creating a symmetrical concave and convex mating pair for stacking stones used to interlocked with eachother for increased stability during the building of stone structures. I theorize that there would an other stone tool used within conjunction of the hammer tops that served the purpose of a polishing stone to grind down the imperfections among the splited stone to provide a smooth edge for the mated pair of the stacking stone so it could rest in place as tightly and securely as possible. The polishing stone most likely be a medium rounded stone that is large enough to be held in one hand during use and likely harder then the stone being grinded down for a smooth edge. At the very least, this is my theory.

that's a very good way of identifying tools is how they fit in the hand. Very nice find.

Awesomeeee. I have been searching for artifacts by a river that isnt visited much and im guessing not searched much. I found a sweet mini scraper 2 days ago and plan on wearing it around my neck, ill make a video soon. Today i saw a black big animal running, probally a coyote, after i found WET FUR all over. As soon as i saw it i ran as fast as possible out of there lol. But should i go back?
