Dear Chris, I bumped into your videos a week ago. Watched your Vietnam, India and Pakistan videos. They were excellent, your attitude is actually very touching and you come across as a sincere individual, whom everybody would want to befriend. Just wanted to clear a thing or two about India. Indians are generally serious and industrious people who are looking at achieving success at whatever they do. The hoariest culture of the world that was besmirched as "uncivilized" just because the colonial powers of the day were not able to understand her. Looted, wounded and violated, we achieved a sorrowful freedom thanks to the conniving of our oppressor, where our homeland was cleaved into two, brothers and sisters separated over fire lit by some external parties. It took us a few decades since then to find our feet, but it is impossible to put India down - we are rising again. Every Indian has to contribute to this and every Indian is aware of his role and is intent upon delivering it to his optimum ability. Please do not feel bad if we do not chat too much and if you find us a bit reserved. Don't judge us harshly for that because we are not like other people. Please do not expect us to be like the others because we do not want to imitate them and become them. Your Indian experience will be best when you travel to be with an Indian family. You will then be able to understand us, which you cannot achieve by roaming the streets as we mostly do not wear our hearts on our sleeves. I feel I could be good friends with you as I can help you understand our society and the why's of it. India, Bharat is a unique and hoary civilization that numerous civilizations have drawn from. It has way too many layers and to understand it to the least extent you will have to communicate with a hoard of Indians. I know it is nice for you to travel to countries where people are ready to show you affection and be ready to spend their time on you. But a growing nation will not be able to engage with you to that level under generic circumstances. And it is not fair that nations should be under developed in order to please visitors. "Athithi Devobhava" is the motto of India! Guest is God and we practice it every single day in our homes. Visit our homes to experience it. (Athithi literally means "without date or appointment" and even to this day we randomly drop in to the houses of our acquaintances without making an appointment with them. Such guests we treat as God. So this is all very deep and complex). We have to develop once again, or else accept all the tags and labels from the west, from the haloed white man and his nations. So there is no question about that. But the burning desire within many of us is that we preserve our culture and not lose it in the process by blindly aping the west. Please forgive me this rant Chris, but I had to put this up for your consideration after watching some of your videos. Please come back again and again and again, Bharat loves you and embraces you as a kindered soul! God bless you!

Hope you are having a great time in Mumbai! I really enjoy your videos however please note that in Mumbai you don't need to ask or bargain the price for taxis or autos... Here mostly every cab and auto will go on meter, which is usually much cheaper compared to bargaining, so next time just let the driver know your destination, hop onto the cab/auto and make sure the driver turns on the meter and you are good to go😁
