Tourism is a big and important industry of Thailand so Thai government makes sure that police will respond as effective as possible for tourists. Thai police even hired other nationals as security agents to counter language barriers.

This would take 1 year or never in France to solve the case, 100+ years or never in UK, most Europe forget it, no one appreciates the hard work done by Thai Police, they are extremely quick in solving crime. Most criminals make a mistake by assuming Pattaya to be night life capital of the world so cops would be slow as well, Big Mistake. Hats off to Thailand for quick and efficient law enforcement

I emigrated from the States and worked vriefly for an Indian owned company. they flat told me that Canadians are "stupid and easy to fool" and they had "Schools" back in Punjab that pumped out fake diplomas and Professional Ccredentials to get pass CXanada Immigration..made me sick and obviously I am not there and want NOTHING to do with them....
Thailand rules on crimes need to be appreciated. Here in India when someone is cheated of their hard earned money, court matters will go years to get justice.Many times Judges are not appointed and the post remain vacant for years.
