Delhi to almaty and shymkent have direct flights. And they need tourism, so maybe immigration in those cities are very simple. But in Astana, the story was different for me
Problem is not these countries, problem is these agents who are sending naive Indians illegally to US. Since Kazakhstan has become visa free, thousands of Indians go to Kazakhstan and from there, fly to Turkey or cross border to Russia. What can these officers do? It’s just a sad state of affairs.

Unfortunately this is also the harsh reality about Indian tourists. Irrespective of where we stand globally, for a handful of Indians the whole community of genuine travellers get targeted.
Its ok brother. Negative experiences are as equal part of traveller as positive experiences. Bad experiences happen during travelling in india also. It totally depends on individual not on country. Good luck for future.
Same privacy thing happened to me at Jakarta airport and harassed quite a lot. Had to give bride , or else I had to cancel all my plans due to deporting . Racism for Indians and bribe culture exist everywhere, specially low income counties .
I'm sorry for your not so pleased experience with Kazakhstan immigration. I can accept still tourist service is not high like in India. Kazakhstan immigration is not used to get to tourist from India, bc its just recently 14 days free visa for Indian, please consider it and give some time, it will be improved.
Everything has its good and bad side . Hope you don’t face any more issues and have a joyous trip. But yes breach of privacy and generalising based on ethnicity is not good . Enjoy your rest of the trip

Many indians now after seeing indian news channel and alll that vishwaguru shit beleives and go to any country but the relaity hits hard on the airport itself 😅.
IMEI number is taken very regularly at a lot of ex-USSR countries, not a big deal, you can expect them to track where you are. Half the times it was taken from me when going to Russia. Your problem is you went through Astana, which is not the international airport of choice and idiots at immigrations are to be expected. Almaty is very smooth. My personal guess is that he wanted a bribe.

That was very horrible expn in a country like Kazakhstan.when i went to Kuala Lumpur Airport Malaysia the Immigration officer behaved very badly with me too . Best part officer looked like Indian or Sri Lankan Origin .Disgusting

Pratik handled immigration and booking staff nicely but such experiences are not good. You are promoting tourism of Kazakhstan, showing all tourist attractions and even though behaviour is extremely bad. Bhai ji ek cheez jaa na tha kya aap bata sakte ho ki uzbekistan se kazakhstan enter karne k liye kya karna hoga koi visa ka jarurat hai. Mei uzbek aur kazak ka tour karne wala hu mera floght uzbek se hai entry ka return kazakhstan se hai.
