Westerners brag in, telling us what should we do in our country. You know nothing about life here! Stop imposing your twisted ideologies on others! /sarcasm
But they are looking for indian types of fairness. People who use fairness creams are trying not this white. Too much white is considered as ugly in india. They are trying to look for indian type of fair skin colour. Indian fair skin is considered attractive by indians than Western white skin. There is a difference between indian fair skin and western fair skin.
I am convinced that in Europe no one would notice that you are not European, but many people would compliment you on your excellent knowledge of Indian languages and ask you where you studied Indology or grew up as a diplomat's child.
I think this reveals a lot about human genetics and how the different races came to be. She literaly looks like a white woman. There is something we are not seeing in terms of how human skin evolved and that we all come from one commons anscestor.
Although I condemn discriminating against Albinos, it also comes down to the dark colonial past that we went through. So it'a not right to compare it to Europeans who've always been on the receiving end of the spectrum.
@@xlr8_bs514"Always" is not true. It is also only true in some form from the ages of colonialism on because there were whide spread cultural contacts in Antiquity within the known world among all kinds of races, tribes, countries and people in general but they never went after each other because of skin colour when it came to conflict. Ask Spanish and Portuguese people how they get treated in the US, for example. There, they are considered Latinos and not white and are therefore considered to be lower than white people, while in Europe literally no one would say that Spanish and Portuguese people are not white and not treat them different than a Dane or a Polish person. We would say that they are Southeners but never call them not white. That is why I find the colour shit literally so dumb. I mean, they are Europeans and for Europeans other European countries native population is white. The discrimation works different here (of course also being shitty but different shitty!). Ask the Jewish people or Sinti/Roma people how they got treated through the ages, for example. Don't forget that the worst thing ever done to other people in the history of the world appart from slavery, was the Holocaust/Shoa, where white people (Germans plus the never counted Austrians) went mostly against Jewish people which are considered white too. It was not about white, black, brown it was about their crazy race theory with so called blonde Aryans being the master race and everyone else just the bottom. Hitler was not a fan of Slavic people either and they are white too. So no, whites were/are not always on the recieving end. Quite a lot of them have it hard too. The British are for example very unhappy about all the people from Eastern Europe that moved there in the last century. That was a reason the Brexit happened. People just love to discriminate other people. It is sad.

It’s so ridiculous how you can face discrimination just solely based on being different than those around you. The sheer amount of close minded people is insane!
ahem. what's your view of trump voters, christians, atheists, pro lifers, anti ukraine, etc, etc. people who love espousing tolerance are usually the least tolerant people. tolerant people understand that overcoming bias is very hard due to how much of it is ingrained since childhood.
We are all just slightly more evolved chimpanzees that are carried through life mostly by our fear of death and drive to procreate. We are limited by our brains, which have the need to sort everything into neat little boxes. Each one of us is discriminatory whether we like it or not. The best thing we can do is acknowledge this fact and try to be vigilant of it. Try to give people the benefit of the doubt when your instinct tells you to have preconceptions, and try to open your heart to them. Trying to persuade yourself and others that you're pure, good and don't have an drop of racism inside of you is stupid and counterproductive. Only when we acknowledge our limitations, can we work around them.

She is a beauty. If I was a man, I would marry her. Sad that they had her marry another albino. The recessive gene will become stronger. I have albino in my genes, but not strong. I also love red and auburn haired people. There was discrimination against red heads in Europe also. Dark skin people complain of discrimination, but are the most prejudice towards albinos. Look at Africa, it is pure hate for white skin. And they can have normal children. And are most of the albinos beautiful and above average IQ. There was a talk show host in the 1980s in USA that was albino. Very intelligent and decent man. I also have red heads in my ancestry as I have freckles. Black there also, Indian and Asian. But I am mostly Urian. I look more Indian than this girl in video. I am not saying she is not Indian, she came out looking totally white. As a black and white parents sometimes bring a totally white looking child. But black gene is dominant and most black white mixes bring a black looking child, even if the skin is white. Wavey or curly haired Indian are almost always mixes with Arab or Africans. I like Dutchess Fergie and she looks like her a little. She dis not come out looking Indian at all.

Aw anytime I see someone with albinism it makes me smile. My grandpa was albino and legally blind. He was born into a poor Hispanic family in Northern New Mexico. His parents were farmers, who shunned him for being albino and blind, as they saw it as a disability. They sent him to a school for the blind which ended up saving his life, as he was welcomed by the community there. When he grew up, he became a teacher at the school. He was a carpenter who taught woodshop to legally blind and fully blind kids! He also taught people who recently became blind how to live and adapt to their new realities. Anyway, point being, people with albinism have a special place in my heart 💛
Your grandfather seems like he is a very sweet and caring person, wish we had more people like him in the world, it would be a much happier place 😊❤ thank you for sharing your story 👍❤
there is probably more to it . as an albino i did have people trying to shelter me from the sun and i was even told to not show up at graduation as it was taking place outdoors. sure people discriminate but there are also people that think its their duty to protect me because supposedly i am fragile. which i am not.
@@PHlophe yeah, that's the point. People do think that they need to help but that's not necessary and they should behave normally, because people with such situations know how to protect themselves. 💯
'You are different to us, you cannot participate.' This is cultural tiering and the basis of their class structure. It doesn't work if the people don't all think like those teachers do. Grouping alike people together is more moral in the eyes of these people. Younger generations are pushing things forward a bit.
Damn.. My albino freind in childhood always told me he was Australian, and i was too naive to know that australians dont speak hindi as i was soo small but i remember clearly
@M G Northern Europeans are more leusistic than they are albino. Albinos have no pigmentation where leusistic just means very fair skin but having some normal pigmentation such as hair and eye color. Albino basically equals no melanin and leusistic just means melanin challenged.
@M G I live in Sweden and I can definitely say that ppl are mixed. There are some blonde and blue-eyed ppl but thats very stereotypical and not realistic.
@M G The theory as I understand it is that when mutations occurred after people had migrated to that part of the world, because fighting the sun wasn't such an issue the lack of melanin didn't matter there. Light skin is a mutation in human history, and certainly a physical disadvantage in sunnier climates. It's a social construct, of course, that ever made it an advantage.
All women are beautiful. This woman however has a skin disease. My aunt had it too. This disease makes you blind eventually and having children is very rare because it affects the womb.
@@MrHaaan It doesn't affect the uterus and it isn't a disease. It is a genetic abnormality. If she stays out of the sun she should live as long as everyone else. She won't necessarily go blind, she should be wearing sunglasses. Don't make things up.

I'd think since indian society is obsessed with fairness they would treat her better or with more appreciation since she is the fairest of them all "literally"
Fairness and albinoism aren't the same aesthetic. Thats like saying if you are attracted to chinese people then you should also like indonesian people because they are similar to chinese. Not the same.
Our white skin standard is closer to fairish red than a European white. Something like a fair Spaniard/italian would be more preferred than albinos or blonde haired whites.

A lot of people used to spread fake rumours about him, like if you play with him or you'll catch the disease and all sorts of other rumours. I believe he was a lucky guy that the teachers used to support him clearing the fake rumours and helping him in every aspect possible. Hope he's doing well 🙂
Same thing there was a vaiya who also looked like foreigner. I was also very fascinated. Then i got to know his condition. Gladly in our college nobody cares about this disease and never said anything
My cousin sister is an albino. No one in the family has ever treated her differently. That's how society should be like. If one person treats another person just as a fellow human then half of the problems would vanish from the world. Anyways tomorrow is her birthday 😇.

This. People find a thing to nitpick on every person. Race, gender, sexuality, religion, as if they are bestowed with the responsibility of passing the last judgement. But when they are dragged through the same muck where they have clogged up the esteems of others, they moan and complain about it being unfair. But now as a grown up I feel guilty for that. Although we never passed any comments but we made her feel uncomfortable. After so many years i appologise for that.
Wow, I've never seen an Indian albino before. I never noticed until now how European features are similar to Indian features. I would have mistaken her for being white if I hadn't listened to her story. I've seen African albinism and you can always tell that they're African by their distinct features. I'm 31 and still learning something every day. The world is mysterious, vast and beautiful.
I used to have a junior in my elementary school who had albanism. And I remember how all the students used to stare him, (including me) because he looked different. I remember seeing him cry sometimes in corridors, might have been because of bullying by his class mates and though always there was a teacher consoling him, I regret not approaching him and comforting him. Maybe I was too young to understand all this but now I feel I could have made his school days a little normal. He didn't want sympathy, he just wanted some genuine friends. I hope he's better now. Not bullying someone is good but supporting the victim is even better. I hope to react in a better way next time. =)

@I Hate Haters I think they meant Indians are caucasoids/Caucasian. Caucasian doesn’t equate to a melanin count, it’s mostly about skull shape and such. Of course there are also Indian mongoloids with more East Asian features, but the majority are Caucasoids with similar bone structures to Middle Easterners and Europeans. White people are just one type of Caucasian/Caucasoid. There are tan and brown Caucasians and Caucasoids as well, which is the category that many in West, Central, and South Asia fall into.
This is probably how the north European white form came about. Albinos marrying each other and being successful in reproductive terms. We don't suffer from Vitamin D deficiency ( rickets) although we have no protection against UV.

@@rishuyadav4410 that's a complete different side to albinism in India. I agree that could be great to feel, but for how long? Now I am feeling ashemed of myself. There was a girl with albino in our locality and whenever she use to come near me I use to get fucking scared and start crying loud i am about 3-4 that time . Later she changed city and I never get a chance to say sorry. Sorry.
So many teachers gave her years of trauma, and just one teacher encouraging her was enough to help her get confidence. Some people really don't deserve to be in this profession. Imagine being a teacher and getting frustrated at a child. This is way too common than it should be.
And she's. Indians are the ancestors of Europeans. That's what our ancestors books and epics talked about before the Aryan invasion theory was invented by British. What is more reasonable: few people from icy areas populated the most fertile lands of India. Or people from India populated Europe once ice age thawed. Mahabharata talks about it in details. It was written 5-6k years back
Her case is fascinating to me because she legit looks foreign, specifically caucasian unlike other people with albinism that you can easily determine has the condition (like her husband) , but then in the photos with her other friends/sisters you can see the resemblance is there, just more defined and darker, it just goes to show that skin color really is only skin deep, and yet it is still the biggest reason for discrimination.
"The biggest reason for discrimination" 50% of the population being treated as everything between non-human and just inherently lesser for being born without a penis since the dawn of civilization(and in a lot of places including India still to this day):
Indians have European admixture through the Vedic Aryan invasion during the Bronze Age, Indians are skeletically caucasoid and thus some can have facial features similar to Europeans. Race is very real and affects so much more than just skin tone, you would never confuse an African or East Asian albino for an European.

She has a condition even if it doesn't seem like it, she can't face direct sunlight she needs to cover up and their eyes are also very poor and more problems that happens and because it's a genetic disorder , you'll risk your kids facing the same issues growing up not how the society treats them but how their body restricts them . You don't have to treat them any differently. I have seen a junior struggling with vision issues, skin issues and maybe some bulling as a kid because kids are brutal and parents need to parent better in this country.
Not giving her the job because of her Albinismn is discrimination and forbidden in my country (Germany). If stuff like this happens, you can drag the company to court for it. I cannot express how much this skin colour shit is frustrating me. My god, people are such intolerant bastards. Sadly, people with Albinsmn get bullied everywhere, the worst in Africa but even in countries with a lot of so called white population because even compared to whitish skinned people, they often look different. I think all that shit is unnecessary and dumb. Let her have her skin tone, who cares!? She is a human. That is the only thing counting. Not her skin colour or whatever.
That’s coz there are less factors differentiating albinos from the usual Germans whereas albinos are more distinct in Bharat. Cosmetic jobs are about marketability of the person. If you are not shaped a certain way or if you are not coloured a certain way you won’t be an asset. Western countries after millennia of colourism have just begun accepting all colours in their multiple colour societies, so as we Bhartiyas change our mentality, white colour will become more acceptable as well as black colour and also more marketable and future generations wouldn’t face that problem.
I used to have a classmate with albinism (We are Indians who lived in Kuwait). She was well-loved and happy with us. We obviously found her appearance odd at first (we all were 4 when we met) but the adults in our lives were very patient and helpful to make us understand that she wasn't different from us. Actually it's not derogatory but actual local language word for Albino. It also happens to be name of a flower that moves along with sun.
