I think short round should be the new main character for the Indiana jones series it said in the lore. He became a archaeologist like his mentor Indiana jones and went on to find the peacocks eye the diamond that Indi lost during the begging of temple of doom short round found it in 1957. it would be a nice prequel and have it where we see him and Indiana reunite and work together. Or they could make a new film after the events of dial of destiny where short round it finding another treasure and Indiana helps him find some lost treasure.
