@@shotspotter7882he's right. I watched the whole season vrs the Knicks. Haliburton was playing the worst he had all year. He had no jump on his shot at all. Luckily Pacers have 2 more PGs that are insanely good aswell
We quick to crown teams like the Knicks who haven’t gotten to the ECF as a premier East team but won’t recognize how much yall underrate the Pacers. We can’t be overrated when yall barely talk about us. Pacers to ECF next season again watch.
@@ubereats3047 the Pacers had winning records against a healthy Knicks and bucks squads during the regular season last year. So that’s not a valid excuse. The 2021 Hawks didn’t have the best offense in NBA history or the depth that the Pacers have. It’s amazing how many of the Pacers critics never watched them during the regular season and have no clue what they’re talking about.
@@benlazar6017 MVP D Rose had a winning record against the Heat in the regular season. They proceeded to spank that team in the playoffs. The 2015 Hawks mopped the floor with the Cavs in the regular season and got swept in the playoffs. It’s almost as if playoff basketball is different. Best offense in the regular season rarely means anything. Kings as a “historic offense” which gets set every year were a first round exit. The year before that was DMitch’s last Jazz season where they were a first round exit. Before that the Nets that lost to the Bucks. Before that the Mavs that lost in the first round of the bubble. Being the number 1 offense in the regular season hasn’t meant anything towards contention. Again it took 6 games to beat the Bucks missing a top 3 player in the NBA and Dame was broken down only out there as a decoy. It then took 7 games to beat a Knicks team missing an all NBA player, a top 5 perimeter defender in the league for half the series (they were smoking the Pacers when OG played), and their defensive anchor in Mitchell Robinson. They face a fairly healthy Celtics team and get creamed. I don’t wanna hear Hali was hurt either because the Heat even stole a game without Jimmy playing. This is a first round exit team that will likely be a 7 seed fighting to win their play in games.
I’m a Wolves fan, but I think Indian will continue to surprise people this year. I think Hali being on the USA team will be good for him and that it will lead into a healthier season and they finish top 3 in the East.
If anything the bucks are overrated asf. Out in the first round the past two years, still has Doc as head coach, the roster is aging and getting hurt more, dame and Giannis don’t play great together, plus the east got better
Not just this show all over. When the Knicks had tons of depth before making all these reckless trades everyone gave them credit but Indiana does similar things and it doesn’t matter
By the way, Jarace Walker is very versatile. He can play PG, SG, SF, and PF. Main reason why he barely played last season was he needed to put on more weight or he would be pushed around. He plays great defense and is a great 3 point shooter, but most people don’t know his best skill. His best skill is he is an elite passer already. He is already Tyrese level at passing already. He’s going to be very valuable to the Pacers this season coming off that bench.
People use the excuse that Bucks and Knicks were injured, but Pacers were injured too. Tyrese was playing the 2nd half of the season on one leg, because he was not able to let the Hamstring fully heal because of the 65 game rule for awards and it eventually got fully injured again in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals and also Bennidict Mathurin was out for us too. If we would have had Bennidict Mathurin and a fully healthy Tyrese Haliburton that Boston series goes 6 or 7 games.
Also the reason why Nembhard’s numbers didn’t go up when Tyrese went out in the regular season was Carlisle started McConnell and asked Nembhard to keep the same role that he had. It was only in the playoffs where Carlisle gave Nembhard the greenlight, and when he did Nembhard took advantage. I don’t think he will have Nembhard go back to his old role. Think he will have the green light now. Think Nembhard will be a top contender for Most Improved Player this season, and Pacers organization have quite a history of winning that award.
I gotta educate y'all on Indy. Nembhard was injured at the begining of the season. It took him a while to find his stride. He is a big time shot maker. This team might have the best continuity behind Boston. And Nembhard did play great d against most of his matchups. He did lock people down. They will win 50 if they stay healthy
I don't understand how you can rank teams when you are not familiar with the personnel. Nembhard was injured most of the season, Mathurin was injured, and Tyrese was still banged up by playoffs. They just didn't constantly talk about it like other teams. Believe me they will address the defense but the offensive scheme is elite. It won't matter what defense you put out there against them. Good day!!
A lot of good points were made; however, I think you failed to emphasize that one the Pacers strong points is their second unit--McConnell, Mathurin, Walker, Toppin, Jackson--is very good. A lot of the top teams in the East (Celtics, Sixers, Bucks, Cavaliers) do not have good second units.
The Pacers had the best offensive season in NBA History. We had countless games with 10 players in double digits. This team knows if they play Defense they can beat anybody, even the Knicks Game 7 on their court. Indiana is a Top 4 team in the east. Mathurin will be an All Star or 6th man of the Year. Myles had a career year. P for a full season in sync with the team.
Joel (dude in the middle, blue shirt) had the best analysis easily. Other guys need to do more research lol. I am pretty surprised about no one mentioning how close the east was (outside of boston clearing everyone of course). No one even mentioned the Pacers record vs teams over .500 this season too.
Tell me you don’t watch the Pacers without saying you don’t watch the Pacers. The reason Nembhard didn’t have a breakout season when Ty went down was because he was coming back from a lower back injury. He didn’t get back to form until the playoffs. 8:39
Need to delete the term “overrated” its been overly used in convos that make 0 sense, mfs using it just to use it just because they not really a fan of someone atp just keep it 💯 and say that and for this convo on pacers it make 0 damn sense cuz they’ve barely been brung up in this offseason besides with concerns or questions …if anything they UNDERRATED
Just not sure how the Magic could be considered overrated tbh lol There’s maybe a handful of non Magic fans that say they can crack top 4 seed and possibly win 1 series The argument they made against then pacers being overrated applies even more to the Magic. They never get any hype
