Indiana had a chance to push the Big Ten title almost completely out of reach, hosting 13th ranked Michigan and Glen Rice at Assembly Hall. IU had beaten Michigan by a point at Crisler Arena earlier in the season, and the Wolverines were out for revenge. This turned into another classic Big Ten game in a season that was full of them. Michigan would go on to win the national title, but IU would sweep them in the regular season.
The end of this game is truly remarkable, and will always be the greatest game-winning shot in Assembly Hall history in my book.
Do yourself a favor and watch the whole thing. This is about as "classic" of a Bob Knight-era IU basketball game as you're going to find.
