Indiana (#1) at Ohio State - 2/23/1993
A funny side story. I attended this game and sat behind the scorer's table. When the OSU fans stormed the court (1:33:18), the guy who sat next to me grabbed Bobby Knight's clipboard on his way back to the stands. He shoved it under his shirt. You can't see it in this video but during the subsequent timeout Knight was looking for it and couldn't find it so an assistant had to pull out a backup one.

This game prevented Indiana from an 18-0 Big Ten season. In fact, the Hoosiers ended up 31-4 and their four losses were by 5, 3, 4 and 6 points. This was also the only game they lost to a non-Final Four team that year. This was one hell of a good basketball team.

I went to TOSU as an undergrad and was a coach there for 4 years (different sport). St John's was an unbelievable CBB setting. Every seat was within 144 seat of center court so it had a "bandbox" feel even with 13,000 in there. The Schot is antiseptic in comparison. Btw, the same scoring table guys were there for like 30 years. Knew them!

OSU student form '89-'92, and it really was one of the best home courts in all of CBB. I wish they'd tear down the Schott and go back to SJA.

Wow I forgot about the pizza hut street ball....wow how times have changed...pizza hut used to give away basketballs with a pizza....now thier pizza tastes like a basketball

I was an OSU student a couple years ahead of your father and he was so much fun to watch play. He was our all time Indiana killer and we loved him for that!

Knight hit a Puerto Rican cop he wasn't afraid of anybody especially Randy Ayers. Ayers was one of the worst Buckeye basketball coaches in the last 50 years.

Last free throw by Reynolds in regulation - goal tending not called. The basket should have counted with an IU win.

It's hard to tell for sure with such a low rez video but it wasn't going in regardless. Let us know when someone completes an independent analysis of missed calls from the entire game.

LOL. Still looked like goal tending to me - I see your point, but who is to say it wouldn't have gone in when there was basket interference? Fun to watch regardless. Thanks for posting it.

I'm watching a northwester vs Indiana game and one of the commentators was talking about how he was in that Ohio State vs Indiana game and he was sower afterwords xD had to look it up.

I remember this game like it was yesterday. I remember coming running down the stairs when Skelton hit that 3-pointer with 2.6 seconds left in regulation to go ahead; then the deflated feeling when IU set us up for the foul to get them back to the stripe. Sealed my disgust for Bobby Knight.

Ed Hightower was a horrible referee in The Big Ten.....countless bad calls and he was lambasted by countless Coaches AND Fans regardless of what venue the game was being played in. But I really loved Randy Ayers NOT backing down to Bobby Knight @ the 1.33 mark. By the way folks....Too funny to see Hightower in later years with a FULL head of hair.....Sure Ed, it just grew back....gotcha slick!

The clock ran down to 00:00. They put time back on the clock.

@@murph165 It is not an automatic technical, especially with the clock having gone to zeros. No ref in the world would have called a T in that situation (if you can find an exact similar situation where this ever happened, please let me know and I will eat my words). It was a dead ball and the court was cleared. They actually handled this part well.

I thought OSU should have gotten the technical for throwing stuff on the court after they’d already been warned. You can’t threaten them with the announcer and then not follow through with continued poor behavior. Coach Knight didn’t put up with that at IU.

This is an awesome watch! Bob Knight was truely a world class ahole. Not only did he get into it with Ayers and the refs he also got in the timer's face at the scoring table. The clock was a little slow to start but c'mon.

Yes almost 6 seconds after the ball was touched until the sound of the horn. I would have been pissed too. Everyone including the refs missed the free throw lane violation on the 2nd free throw.
