The reason Youjeen has less monthly listeners on Spotify is not because she is a “small" artist. It's because her audience is South Korean and Japanese. Her band was and still is considered iconic by the critiques. Another reason being that they haven't even released anything lately. Youjeen and Parkjiyoon are on his album because of how much RM admires them for their groundbreaking works in the past.

Indigo is an album that will remain unforgettable. It has that unique vibe to it that will stick with you for a long time.

tablo from epik high is an incredibly important figure in the k-hip hop community (not kpop), epik high has been active for 20 years now and it's been mentioned many times that their song fly is what made both namjoon and yoongi want to become rappers. now, yoongi and tablo in particular are great friends, it's really sweet.

He curated this album like a beautiful museum exhibit of artworks carefully selected. The theme of art and life, being human, it’s also so so perfect. He is so very very talented and it’s just stunning.

so happy you got to check out indigo! it's such a special album :) Indigo in korean is 남색 (namsaek), which sounds a lot like namjoon-e saekkal, which would translate to "Namjoon's color" - Joon said each song represents a different shade of blue and a different side of himself. He also said he has so many features because he wanted this album to feel like an art exhibition of all the things he loves... I think he did an amazing job with that, my favorite songs are wild flower and forg_tful. Also fyi, Namjoon said he will release another album before he enlists or during his enlistment!

I’m so glad you got into Joonie’s solo project, Indigo is a masterpiece in storytelling. You listen to it in order and it tells you a story about him, how he feels, the conflicting emotions that he sometimes have. I’m very proud of him 💜 Please, listen to the other guys’ projects too. Yoongi just released a new project, Jimin and Hobi recently did too. They are all amazing 💜

The lyrics in mono. are some of my favorites ever. I hope you'll get around to read them some day, I'm sure you'll like them too

Korea is very new to Spotify in general and most of these artists are very popular within south Korea itself. Their main streaming platform is called "Melon". and many of these artists are well known within the general public :)

RM is the definition of perfection💙 his lyrics are the most meaningful and emotional lyrics I've ever heard indigo is namjoon's emotions that are not limited to just an album💙💙 he is a genius himself MY favourite album after his mono album💜

I love namjoon so much, this album is so special to me now, specially no2, at first this song didn’t stand out to me a lot but lately it has become a safe place, a song to remind myself that there’s no point on stressing and get sad about things I can’t change and instead protect myself from now on. my favorite album so far from the BTS solos, as Namjoon biased i was waiting for the album sm and its so different compared to RM and Mono mixtapes, the fact that the songs are and feel like collabs and not just feat is so sweet from Joon's part my top 3 are Wild Flower, Forg_tful and Yun but in reality i cannot pick a fav one :'3

still hoping one day you'll do a reaction to their other solo projects, especially layover, face and d-day :') such great projects

I love this album, I've never heard an album that told such a great story from beginning to end and in a way in which his feelings are completely on show... and it's all relatively straightforward... with a lot of BTS music they like leaving things open to interpretation a lot but in Indigo... it's literally just RM laying it out exactly as it is ... he clearly shows his trajectory in a way the fans understand. I love wild flower as well, the second verse is so good :D This album did great but it's still going to end up like mono not getting the credit or recognition that it deserves unfortunately.

i love Indigo!!!..its such a departure from Mono and RM but it clearly shows Namjoon's music trajectory....and what a beautiful trajectory. RM asks us to listen to the songs in order and its really the best way to appreciate the album. RM and bts are excellent storytellers....and RM is recognised as bts lyrical genius and we see that lyrical poet run thru the album. Its an album you will go back to over and over again....its such a balm for the ears and soul.... Indigo performed well in the charts but i think its longevity will set it apart .....RM is someone you want to follow.... Btw...do check out RMs concert with a small crowd of 200 lucky Armys in Seoul...watch RM just groove and enjoy performing with his guests....so awesome!!

RM choice to collab on 8 out of 10 songs is extraordinary for a solo debut. It shows how his focus is on the artistic value to the song and he chose such fitting collabs.....can you imagine Eurykah Badu lending her voice to this album!!!??....and Youjeen and Parkjiyoon are senior and respected artist in Korea...for them to take part is epic. But inspite of the collabs it does not distract on who owns the song and whose story it is.....and Namjoon sing rap is soooooo soothing....a masterpiece album...

Epik high is a khiphop group who debuted in 2003 and are known for their lyrics and they were huge inspirations for bts. Tablo just like Namjoon is a known genius with his IQ being 160! Incase you didn’t know, suga helped produce a song for epik high named ‘eternal sunshine
