For the record, mount merapi has been on level 3 emergency on its activities since last year (or more, idk the exact detail), which means it's very active and dangerous. There has been more than 3 volcanoes in Indonesia that reach this level of emergency and Merapi is *always* on the list, followed by Semeru

Well technicaly its was normal for Volcanic mountain to be active for some years, frequent eruption but limited affected area, its the Active Volcano mountain that hasnt active that you should worry because once its erupt, oh boy.
I can’t imagine seeing that and NOT leaving. Nothing says danger more than a huge column of smoke and ash rising almost a thousand meters in the air from a volcano.
As an Indonesian, you are wrong. Volcanoes eruption can be predicted. Most active volcanoes here are at level 3 or almost erupted. People and government know about this because there are sensors around the mountain and teams that observe it daily. It's just that people who live around the mountain don't care about it much cause it is their home.
@@godofnothing520 nope, until now technological advancement didnt reach to place where we could predict when and where volcanoes would erupt. The sensor only detect when it happened not when it will happen
@@Slebew449 When a big eruption will happened there are some 'signatures' shown by the volcano and it can be measured by sensors planted on it. But unfortunately the prediction only can be measured only up to a day or two before the eruption happened.
Seeing from it, this is the only part where all, no matter how the human expectations fails and daily life come into a pause when nature shows it's form.

There are always preventable measures for this types of natural calamities. 1 kilometer is to be apart from the source, for safety, while farming indoors as tall buildings for farmers, are designed to protect their sources of INCOME.******IMPORTANT*******
