I have two Ikea combined Detolfs and one single Detolf cabinets as my greenhouse. I definitely enjoy the aesthetics and functionality of them. But one important thing is that you have to be pretty handy to drill holes/ weather strip/ cut shelves/ cable management etc., becuz there is so much room for customizing. You have to figure out what you want to do based on plant types, sizes and light requirement. And once your plants grow bigger, you need to tweak the cabinet to fit them, such as switching from 3 shelves to 2 shelves to create more vertical space. It is a lot of work but also aesthetically pleasing and satisfying. Make sure you know you are signing up for those handy projects.
Such an informative video...nice to know the different options. I definitely want an ikea cabinet and i will most likely buy all the stuff i need for it over the summer and save it for a fall project. They look so beautiful filled with plants i might get 2!
I gave up on terrariums because my plants always got moldy. But I did buy the plastic greenhouse and I love it. Not pretty but it works! One day I’d love to have a grow tent. Great video 😁 💙
I have a wide milsbo, and detolf. Also, have a small 4 shelf greenhouse that I just got. Not sure if they have them in Canada, but in the States we have Lidl grocery stores. And I purchased that litte greenhouse for $20.00. As always love your videos!!!! 🥰
You can decorate the greenhouse. Tulle curtains flower pattern adhesive window film. Table cloths shower curtain. Faux frosted glass window film with led candle for faux giant pattern greenhouse. If you use grow lights you need window film or blackout curtains to protect your eyes. Uv light in grow lights hurt your eyes 👀. I forgot contact paper on cardboard to cover the wire shelves
I just found a milsbo in the trash 😭 it's brand new and the glass isn't even dirty. I don't know why someone threw it out but now I'm down this rabbit hole! I'm SP happy!!!
I don't have any one so far I just use the home depot metal racks for my plants but I'm definitely considering a better esthetic option. Probably the ikea one would be the greatest. Thanks for all the input that will help me decide the best option for myself. Alway love watching your content🥰🥰

Love the look of those Ikea cabinets I just don't have the room. I did get the Vittsjo glass and white shelves 2 weeks ago. I did have to wait a long time for them to restock but got a text when they were in. Looking forward to seeing your new channel 😀😊

Great video!🌱 I’ve desperately wanted a milsbo since last year when I first discovered them! I live 7-8 hours away from an ikea and shipping would be 249.00! I’ll be making that trip this summer when I know they’re in stock. Hopefully they’ll allow me to pre pay! So frustrating!
Great info. Appreciate the time and research you put into this video. Because I live in Canada and have space constraints I ended up with a cheap reptile terrarium off Kijiji but I’m not planting it. I will use it as a winter home for my humidity loving plants and set up more like an IKEA cabinet. It’s already set up for electrical cord management and is 18” high with front access - adding a wire shelf riser to double plant space at the back and a fan- can light from the top without having to install from inside. I will have to cover the mesh lid with glass to retain humidity but I like that I can leave water in the bottom without worrying about rust or damage. I may end up putting egg crate in the bottom to allow for drainage so nobody sits in water but it also means I don’t have to take up any space with a humidifier. Excellent excellent video, very informative I loved it. I have to ask a question, you said you put your grow tent up by yourself. Did you also put the covering on by yourself? I got one for Christmas and I put it together by myself, but the canvas is so heavy, no way can I do it by myself, and it’s only me. If you did this by yourself can you give any tips and tricks how you did that? So mine is just sitting there unfinished because I don’t have anyone around to help me☹️😩. Aww thanks love! I did, yes. I got the bottom part situated first and then the side, then I stood it up and flipped the top over. I think... 🤔 It's been a while since I set it up, but I was able to do it myself. I don't think I actually showed the setup in my video, but there are some great videos on YT that show how to set up different models..maybe give that a shot? 😬 Sorry you're having a hard time hun. I'd come help if I could..

That’s what I have Vicodin, my daughter got it for me for Xmas. That’s how long it’s been sitting there. 🤷♀️

I've been trying to sign up for text alerts for the milsbo and there is no option anywhere on the site or app for it. I'm heartbroken as I finally have the funds to purchase and they're nowhere to be found.
My husband wants to build me an outdoor greenhouse. I'm like "Are you insane? We live in MD. We'd need a heater, fans for ventilation, and other stuff I don't fully understand." 😅
