Definitely right, I was thinking the same. Saves made more showy by bad positioning. Don’t get me wrong he has made good saves but a full size goal would be a problem with this performance.

Yeah it's true that he anticipates, but from those distances I also rather prefer to commit myself. I think that if the striker still has a rather wide view on the goal I've less chance to save a well placed shot if I stand my ground.

No that's the right thing to do cuz he have to cover a lot of space so the opportunity to score goes less with a small space

Believe me im a keeper too and in indoor soccer( mini football) that’s the right thing to do because the shots are taken really near you can’t have enough time to save the shot, that’s why we need to dive a little earlier

Pre diving is very important to cover up more space in close range situations

I know this is kind of late. But I don't think he didn't get credit. I myself is also a goalkeeper, and eventually when I play with my team they stop clapping and cheering my saves. Simply bcuz they know what I can and they know I can make those saves. To us goalkeepers these saves are everyday job. And until your team understand this that is when no cheering needed anymore.

Samie-kun Q8 Hi Sam! I’m a 17 year old GK. When in close range, don’t be afraid to challenge the shooter. Don’t throw yourself in, but make yourself look “large” in a sense of getting close to the ground and hands out. It’s the best technique to save close range. Use your judgement on when to come out. If your teammates are in the box, and there’s a close range, really use that judgement on if you need to come out or stay back. Have a good day!

The thing about being the GK Sam, is you have to throw fear out the window buddy. Occasionally you may get hurt, but it's your job as the last line of defense to do whatever you need to do to stop that ball from going in the net. When moving in for a close range shot I like to flex my core so that if a ball hits me there I'm prepared for it and it won't hurt as bad.

Hi Sam I'm Max I'm 18 when the player is pressing you, you have to find the right time to press the and open up you body and just make the save and gobble up that ball you just got to be confident don't worry about the pain just do what u have to do to stop it. Plus it doesn't hurt to bad😀

Hi I'm Leo and I'm 9 and when there in ure box say penalty don't go in for the the ball stay in line with the player and if they move the ball across tiny steps and when they get up close make your self big and it's only a ball it won't hurt. Good luck ps I play for spurs academy

JK Gaming well, I play as keeper both indoor and outfoor soccer and I can tell you thats the way to go indoor. Its a smaller field with smaller goals and a heavier ball, its only natural that a lot of shots will go down
