No rice lng po momshie ,more fiber ,mongo ,gulay fish...pd man ung brown rice ..control sa prutas sa tinapayb,sa matatamis kc ganyan ako now 4x a day nagcheck ng sugar now once a day na lng sya kasi normal na sugar ko no white rice at all talaga at limited prutas if ever man kiwi,apple ,pear na hilaw ung crunchy kasi di oa sya matamis..more legumes lng ako more fiber ...in 2 weeks bumaba timbang ko ng 1 and half kg taz inom ka din ampalya tea or kajn ka ng okra at ampaya kangkong kasi nakakatulong magpababa ng sugar...dicipline lng po talaga....wag kana po din kumain ng lagpas ng 9pm...taz kunting exercise lakad ng 15 to 20 mins..or ung braso mo galaw galawin mo after mo kumain mo basta wag ka uupo agad kc yan po ginagawa ko kaya nanormal sugar ko...now im 25 weeks preggy po.
Suggestion lng po, mas mabuti alamin mo ang inyong A1c. Dito mo malaman mo yung blood sugar for the last 2-3 mos. At saka malamam mo rin kung talagang diabetic ka or prediabetic . Normal is 5.7 . Maybe you can suggest this to your Dr.

Hi Janet, I had gestational diabetes 20 years ago, my advice is to eat everything in moderation. For example 1/2 cup of rice during lunch with equal portion of protein like fish or chicken breast. Don’t forget healthy veggie’s like carrots or broccoli. As much as possible no fried foods. MAs maganda yung steamed lahat even fish. Try to find a replacement for bananas, if you can find guava much better. Avocado for breakfast is good. Avoid ripe mangoes, cantaloupe and watermelon. Apples are good too. Never eat big fish because they have mercury which will be bad for the baby. Smal to medium sized fish is better eat them at least 3 times a week. Nuts are good snack. Buy those unsalted or plain roasted like peanuts and cashews. 1/2 a cup is a good snack. Try to avoid street food and drink plenty of water or milk, fast food is bad too like pizza and fries. Steamed bananas (saba) in moderation is good. 12:29 Avoid farmed fish like tilapia, bangus, and salmon. Buy only fish from the sea.and another thing don’t eat processed food like cookies, cheese.. . Sugary drinks are a big no, yogurt is bad because it has too much sugar. I know it’s hard to adjust. Pero it’s for only less than 9 months . Remember much better for you to adjust than the baby suffering once he’s out.. temporary lang yan. My other advice is once na you give birth, never eat unhealthy food kasi your body should slowly adjust to your normal eating habit. Unlike me I ate pizza and oily food ayun nagsuffer yung body ko dahil oily foods ang kinain ko pagkatapos ng panganganak. Bigla nag suffer ang aking gallbladder di kina ya ayun gall bladder removal . Which as for me an essential organ which helps you dissolve cholesterol. Mahirap. And lastly boiled eggs are good too. Good luck sana makatulong yung advice(s) ko.
Janet Ingatan mo blood sugar mo no carb at sweets na kasi ang baby ang maapektuhan ganyan ako nung pinagbubuntis ko un son ko. Low sugar sya nung lumabas na NICU sya for many days. Tapos ako nagtuloy tuloy na diagnosed na ako type 2 diabetes 😢
Your results before breakfast and post prandial ( after meals) should be recorded you could see the trending of your blood sugar levels. Keep this record so you could show this to the diabetologist ( MD who sees pregnant women with gestational diabetes) or the endocrinologist. Your results right now before breakfast and after meals are still within range. You really just have to watch what you’re eating. You’re still pregnant and I think it’s also a good idea to see the dietitian to give you a list of portioning the foods you are allowed or should eat.
