Young lad is sensible 👍.I can't see the point in in piling food on top of food until you end up with what resembles pig swill .l like to see everything on the plate and when l have eaten it if l want more l will get some more.lt is not a race/competition to see who can eat the most .Interesting review 👍..

Looks like the Mickerbrook has changed a lot since I was last there... I last had a carvery there in about 2008. I used to go dozens of times with my mum, dad, and brother in the early 2000s. I remember there being a large indoor play area when I was a kid, complete with a PlayStation hooked to a TV. Great review as ever, Greg!

Hi Greg, Empire chinese restaurant, Southport. Sunday's all you can eat buffet. It's a bit pricey at 15.95. But quality and well worth it. I live in Preston a 40 mile round trip. I usually go twice a month. I know its far for you but give it a go. Opens at 12 and full by 1pm. I get there for 12. Cheers!

hi greg, if you want the best carvery around, its the jolly sailor on bramhall lane,..... they only do it on a sunday, but you wont get nicer food than there, its a bit dear at £15, but you get what you pay for 🙂

Happy birthday buddy 🎉glad it was a decent carvery I used to go to Stonehouses for the eat all you want breakfast buffet when I worked in Doncaster was always decent and set me up for the day .always preferred them to the toby ones

Hi Greg, Having eaten here last year just after they reopened after the refurbishment. I think your review was probably about right. The quality of the food is good enough, but my pet hate with carvery is that most places find it impossible to keep the food anything other than lukewarm, so for that reason I usually stear clear of the carvery. However, my hubby loves a Toby Carvery, so we're off to the Leigh Arms in Adlington next week for the Carvery. 🤞It's at least OK..! 😄
