to anybody getting an industrial, make sure ur piercer uses one needle for each hole they make (it's unsanitary to use just one needle for an industrial)
For those who are thinking of getting this piercing i would suggest you to use two needle instead of one for piercing. Also dont wear that long metal earrings instead go for two small separate one. You can change those earrings after the piercing get healed.
I never seen this before. I think he irritated the nerves in the ear a little bit. It looks like a painful way to pierce your ears. I just recommend the clicker.
no, you have to wear a bar so that the holes heal exactly like this or you can't wear a bar ever anymore because it would screw up your ear. if it really isn't working and doesn't heal etc you can switch to two helixes
@mxya3 nah..I'm a tattooist. And this is false.. you don't open up and expose extra sharps to the air.. 2 needles = 2x the chances of contaminants. Plus. How do you properly throw a straight industrial in, if you are making separate holes with separate sharps.? An industrial is ONE piercing, with one needle, and 2 holes. This way, you can throw 2 hoops in to make healing much easier , fasted , and less prone to infection than having the straight bar through, (hence industrial piercings taking months to heal ) without worry that the bar won't line up later. But go on...pretend you know what you're talking about

I got mine yesterday. It didnt hurt very bad during the actual piercing. It hurts more like 7/10 after you leave the salon. Also, I slept on my left side cuz my industrial is on my right ear. Now that its a day since It was pierced it doesnt hurt like this only when you touch it. P.S Im sry for my bad english Its not my first language.

@@rainbowkatsuki7510 No, I wouldn't because the needle does get SLIGHTLY duller (especially less significant because of the usual big gauge used for industrials), and it wouldn't make sense. But for an industrial using one needle will ensure PERFECT angle, which trumps over the dullness aspect. Also, the needle will pierce two holes anyways, for ANY piercing (entrance and exit), and it gets duller after the first hole (the "entrance") anyway.
I went into the piercing place. The person looked at my ear and said the piercing would cause problems in the future. I’m am so great full she told me that bc I did not want to have problems like that. I got a different cartilage piercing about a month ago. I love it so much!
I got an industrial piercing yesterday and I’ve noticed unexpected issues: -Tucking hair behind my ear is painful right now that it’s healing -putting on tight clothing (aka if the neck hole is small) is near impossible -The ball closest to your head touches your hair. So I’ve got antibacterial cream on to heal. And the cream is all over the side of my head. -It’s also difficult to clean right now, once again, your hair gets in the way while trying to clean it. And yes my hair is tied up in a ponytail. It’s just that I have like whispy hair around my ears that get in the way. Oh well. -hugging people is a problem right now -forget over ear headphones. It’s earphones for me for the next few weeks. -no beanies, hoodies or headbands right now. These are small issues that will go away when the pain subsides, and it begins to heal. I’ve had several piercings in the past and small issues like this are part of the process

@taylorfroude1412 umm except a proper pierced has completely sterilized the area , and the tools are sterile. The only thing you are doing is exposing more tools to open air, wich is more surface area to catch "mystery bacteria " The real issue here is why the Bar was places right away when the easiest way to care for an industrial is to have 2 small captive beads , that can be manipulated separately and recive less trauma from movement .. But what do I know... acting like I'm a professional tattoo artist / piercer. Pfffft
Needles are only really pointy first use. After they should not be used anymore as the damage the tissue unnecessary. There should be more than enough microscope videos if needles before and after single use.
I had one i loved it and the healing process wasn’t too bad, did have two days of a numb face from a slight infection though. Took mine out a couple years ago because it was a pain to sleep on but didn’t hurt at all just felt warm like a normal piercing
It is imo 😊 I love mine. My piercer did mine at 16g though so finding new pieces to wear is very frustrating. Most pieces I find online are 14g. Also, get gold, silver, or surgical steel as your first piece to avoid any reactions to the metal while you're healing. You're also going to need to sleep on your other side or have a neck pillow to sleep on so you can avoid having any pressure on your ear while it's healing, and be *very careful* that you don't get it caught on anything (which is harder than it sounds lol) Eta: also, there is a LONG healing process. It'll take at least a few months- up to a year isnt unusual, give or take a few months. Mine took longer because I'm diabetic and I also got it caught on my pillow a few times while sleeping, and on my clothes, and my dog stepped on my ear when he jumped on my bed while having zoomies. (very painful)
I got mine five months ago. Nearly healed. Got a mild infection tho 😅. These types of piercings are prone to infection tho. It hurts for a few secs then it's over
I loved my industrial piercing BUT.. my body rejected it. I have a small curve at the top of my ear and therefore eventually the bar pushed its way out. The bottom one was fine but it was no longer an industrial. I went back to my piercer and he told me that he could do it again but my body would just reject it again. As far as pain goes, it wasn’t the piercing itself that hurt. It was getting it caught on my clothes during the healing process. Or rolling over while sleeping. Ouch! But if you’re thinking about it.. do it. It’s a beautiful piercing when it’s healed. Healing time depends on your cleaning routine. Just remember when you’re throwing on a sweater or a hoodie to be extra careful.
Guys just so you know a piercer should be using 2 needles, one for each hole . This isnt the correct way to pierce an industrial. Vertical pericings use one needle because its 1 hole like in a vertical labret but if its 2 seperate holes like this you need two needles.
Just got mine done 2 weeks ago. Mine was pierced downwards for the top, bar inserted, middle and top ball ball screwed on, then pierced upwards for the bottom, bar screwed into the middle ball and then bottom ball screwed on.
@inrussian i love it very much! The top part of the piercing felt like a deep ache, the bottom part felt more like a pinch. What hurt the most was when she was inserting the jewelry into the top part. I guess the guage bar was slightly larger than the needle she pierced me with. When she was trying to insert it she was almost stretching it. When she noticed she got the right size bar, put a taper onto it, and as gently as she could removed the other one while inserting the right one at the same time. All that back and forth and tugging though was no fun. Other than that, it wasn't so bad, the piercing healed nicely and it's one of my favorites!!
Get seperate piercings untill they heal bc the angle makes it rub and get infected which can make a big bubble around it that looks so bad and no you can not pop it.
Just a question is the bar always this thick I mean I had industrial for 2 years now and whenever I remove my jewellery and try to insert it again after some days it hurts to insert it since the bar is thick aren’t there more thin industrial piercings
Pro tip . Once it's done. Don't put a bar , put 2 hoops or small barbells until its healed. It's way easier to clean, heals quicker ,and is way less uncomfortable! You're welcome
I'm 14 and I really want to get an industrial and I'm so scared because I've heard so many bad things (like it hurts a lot and stuff) but I've also heard it look really cool sooooo 🤷♀️idk
I got an industrial piercing on both ears and the pain was mild but yes the first week it hurts so bad and I couldn't sleep on my side for like a month because of how bad it hurt 😅😂
Mine was a 9.5 out of 10! 😅 But got it 4 years ago and it has healed a year and a half after I got it! Now I’m going to switch the jewelry for a silver Christian cross on the bar! ☺️✝️
i had this done and i have a high pain tolerance, i will say this was the most painful piercing i ever got. i have had regular piercings, gauges and ofc my industrial. the pain lasts for hours and it takes a very long time to heal. each person will be different but just pace yourself

unfortunately, I can't have it because of my ear structure (I was pissed off) but I got an orbital instead (for now, it's like a conch and a helix but then, when it'll be healed, I'll put the ring :) )
im 14 and i got my indusrtial done over 3 months ago and got my tragus donr 2 months ago so far the industrial isint healing very well but my tragus is already heals so for anyone who is looking for peircings i would 100% reccomend tragus and plsu the pain when young et it done is at most a 5 then 24 hours later its painless but my industial is still painfull nc ive changed the jelwet through losing the ball through not tighing it if youhave ahelix the bottom of the industrial hurts abt 5 then the top is 7 it hurts a bit lol hope this helps A year after I had its sons know I have a helix peircing and a tounge peircing I would just go for it a industrial know I think of it hurt around 3 compared to my other peircings
