That’s amazing. Never thought about a set up like that. Up to 70% Duty Cycle is impressive. Great content 👍🏻

I've run about 4-4 1/2 pounds of 1/8" 7018 through my ArcCaptain 200 so far without a hitch on 220V, I've had it about two weeks now

Do these machines have hot start and arc force?
@HOWEES
@HOWEES 3 месяца назад
Yes, and the Hot start has the best droop curve of any of the 110v welders We have tried.

@@HOWEES Did you have the two machines hooked up together to run the 5/32
@HOWEES
@HOWEES 3 месяца назад
@@dusty1498 Yes 2 in parallel, on separate 110v breakers.

Have you ever tested the deko 160? Thanks for your responses

Were you running both machines at the same time? tied together.

Looks like they were running in parallel. Which is the only way you'd be getting enough amperage to run 5/32 rod on 110v. The fact they were doing that for at least 50% duty cycle is honestly impressive as all hell.
@HOWEES
@HOWEES 3 месяца назад
Yep, in parallel. I was quite impressed. I stepped it up to 3/16 later and began tripping breakers, so 5/32 seems to be the upper limit for that duty cycle. -Cameraman

110v Breaker in the shop supplying the cords, not the welders. If they were on 220v supply He could have used the bigger rod.

Liquid cooled... raises the duty cycle.

Two questions, what welders were they and where are you finding reruns of Art Bell?
@HOWEES
@HOWEES 3 месяца назад
Arc Captain 200A's, you can find them on Amazon for ~130 each. There's a guy on RU-vid that has all the MITD shows Art did before he died. After I work through those I figure I'll find an archive of the older stuff and start working on that. -Cameraman
