I don't understand why people are comparing yoon jung to somin.. they played two different characters with two different story arcs. They have the same soul and you can see in the similarities both the GREAT actresses portrayed. Just enjoy this masterpiece and stop always comparing female actresses.
Go really deserves this role. She is amazing. SoMin is already queen no doubt she is Unnie. But Go deserves this. She is the one I got glued on when I first watch this. I said she is bad ass
I have a very bad opinion about the end of series 1 Alchemy of Souls. In episode 20 of The Alchemy of Souls, you ruined the whole series. And now you start season 2 without the main heroine (Jung So-min), who gave all the charm to the whole series. From bad to worse.
@@strawberryyamaedits4625 If there is still a little intelligence and common sense in those who watched, with love, this series, then if we follow the logic, the story which was built, throughout the 19 episodes, we cannot for any reason accept what the director did in episode 20. Let me argue, Even if it's a fantasy series, a drama, that doesn't automatically allow you to do whatever you want, as a director, without taking into account absolutely nothing that happened in this series until episode 20. So, Jin- mu, the negative character, after being exposed for all his wrongdoings, especially to the royal family, is reinstated by the prince, knowing that Jang Uk and Nak-su have decided to leave the capital and move as far away as possible, to live their love story. So the prince no longer had any reason to act in this way, but on the contrary to punish the Jin-mu. So in this sense the story is not respected. More Nak-su, a cold assassin, who is in the body of Mu Deok-i, transforms herself by making friends, and by falling in love with Jang Uk, whom she wants to marry, more moreover Nak-su, in this story discovers the truth behind her father's murder, and the fact that she was lied and used by Jin-mu to kill the other sorcerers - and yet taking into account the above, Nak-su is transformed by Jin-mu into an irrational zombie. We can see how, throughout the twhole series, those who transform remain rational, and kill those around them, only to regenerate, feeding on their life - but the character Nak-su becomes an irrational zombie who kills at random - again the narrative is not respected. Further along the series, Jang Uk makes it clear that he aims to get the ice stone for Nak-su, in which case he starts to transform... and the moment Nak-su unleashes, Jang Uk no longer respects the story, and lets himself be killed by the sword of an unconscious zombie. And according to the story, then was the time to give Nak-su the ice stone, but.. he doesn't give her the ice stone, to transform back Nak-su into a normal person -again the story is not respected. Do you follow me? Although, there is a precedent in the series when the Queen revives her eunuch with the ice stone, to get rid of the accusations. Ok, now you say to give Go a chance. But let's remember that at the beginning of the series, the body of Nak-su (Go) is burned to erase any evidence that could lead to Jin-mu. So, practically and theoretically, the body of this character was destroyed, erased. You cannot come now, after it has been burned and destroyed, and reincarnate it again according to the director's will. So in Alchemy of the souls, episode by episode, step by step, a story was built, and what happens in episode 20 throws everything that happened until then into the trash. So, what this director did with this series in episode 20, was to throw in the trash the entire series, and piss off everyone who wasted their time watching this series. If he wanted it to be something more meaningful, he could let Jang Uk to give the ice stone to Nak-su. And according to the story, the original soul of Mu Deok-i could still exist in the ice stone, and at that moment Nak-su would die forever, and Mu Deok-i would return to her original body without any memory of Nak-i's love, for Jang Uk. And in the second series, they could insist on Jang Uk falling in love again with Mu Deok-i. In this way, the drama of the disappearance of Nak-su's soul is preserved, but also it can be a happy ending through the new love between Mu Deok-i and Jang Uk. But out of a desire to shock, the director destroyed the entire series. What happened in episode 20 destroys everything that was built beautifully over the course of 19 episodes. Now if there is still a little intelligence and common sense in us, we must not allow ourselves to be offended in this way. I say simply, shame on this director who ruined this beautiful series.
I don't think it ruins the whole series. That's why the director made season 2 if not naksu will have to live as a soul shifter in buyeon's body forever. At first I didn't really agree with season 2 that the heroine's character will change. But it makes sense, after all, the main heroine is naksu, not buyeon or mudeok. Even they bring back both actresses Go yoon jung as naksu and jin buyeon as Jung somin on season 2 I believe that GYJ will always the main character, why? because she is the original naksu. she is the one hiding in buyeon's body. she is the master of janguk and she is the one that janguk love. And if in season 2 jung somin play a character for buyeon and there is a people try to ship janguk with buyeon 😂for me its doesn't make any sense because janguk doesn't know about buyeon. both janguk and naksu also doesn't know about her. both of them also doesn't know that in the body naksu entered is actually Jin Buyeon. The loveline of janguk will always go to naksu not mudeok/buyeon..He only know the naksu soul is in that body even he never see naksu real face . Anyways lets just hope for the best. I also can't accept it when Jung Somin doesn't appear on S2 but now I'm move on and so excited for season 2
