I’m getting ready to do a second video explaining how this song isn’t about drugs or his relationship with hip hop. People are reaching a bit too far on this one. 1. It makes no sense to do that twice on one album 2. There are no doubles towards drugs or hip hop 3. How the hell is a drug or hip hop going unsuck a D, get tucked in, buy him a 50 cent ring out of a vending machine, f the earth 4. He was divorced in 06 5. “Still in love, with a mfN chick there’s a million of” Just some examples. Everyone’s coming at me for not pointing out doubles or other meanings that are not there. Yo no harping - you can TOTALLY BE RIGHT- but 06 was a lot - Proof died in April they left Em off Hip Hops top lists that year (which he mentions in 25 to life - song about a relationship with hip hop) and yes he divorced Kim but he really did squash that in Revival with Tragic endings and Bad Husband it seems regressive to be talking like this about Kim. But when you listen to Black Magic and Favorite Bitch it makes you wonder how many times does he make Hip Hop into a female. “But I'll go to bat for you, defending your honor” - he literally does that everytime he shits on a wack rappers and continues to challenge listeners with lyrics. “Could've been a fifty cent ring from out of a vending machine” could be a double for 50cent “But this is my house, bitch, you get out” - lord Jamar called him a guest in the house of hip hop And “Guess I'm a prisoner see, addiction is a disease” Gives me 25 to life vibes: “I'm sick of this but in my sickness and addiction Your as addictive as they get Evil as they come vindictive as they make 'em My friends keep asking why I cant just walk away I'm addicted To the pain, the stress, the drama I'm drown in so I guess I'm a mess Cursed and blessed But this time I'm a Ain't changing my mind I'm climbing out this abyss You screaming as I walk out that I'll be missed But when you spoke to people who meant the most to you You left me off your list Fuck you hip-hop I'm leaving you, my life sentence is served bitch” Respect though - it totally fits Kim’s reality - but as much as I’m sure he still loves her - Em has two addictions and he’s been sober for 13 years. Well - to be honest, I have never thought it was about Kim. Not even when I heard it the first time without having any reaction who filtered it to me. Never. Not saying you're wrong, Cliff, but if it was (solely) about Kim, wouldn't he have said her name at some point? Or at least said more specifics? Really ... not ever thought it was about Kim. About some girl - possibly. But my take had always been Hip Hop. It fits just so beautifully with the line of writing from Seduction and 25 to life. *shrugs* Whatever it is, I love this song. The beat is sooooo crazy and fun!

For what it’s worth, I tend to agree. Especially because of the “50 cent ring out of a vending machine” part. I do think there are plenty of lines within the song that could be interpreted as doubles/triples (his relationship with drugs, relationship to rap), but looking at the track as a whole, it really seems to be about Kim. As for more reactions…I’m down for the ride! I watch a lot of reactions to various artists, but if I see “Eminem,” I click. 🤷‍♀️😂 I’m slowly getting better at picking up on some things on my own (usually after 5 or more listens), but I always learn something new from quality reactors. I’ve really enjoyed how you’ve systematically worked your way through MTBMB, and would be thrilled to see you do that with other albums. But, a few specific tracks for me that I’d love to see reactions to (I am able to see most of your Eminem playlist, but some videos I can’t see, so forgive me if I mention something you’ve already done): “Cold Wind Blows,” “Space Bound,” “Till I Collapse,” and Bad Meets Evil’s “Fast Lane” and “Above the Law.”

The meaning of “Farewell” is that Eminem is addressing a romantic interest, indeed his significant other. It has also been postulated, particularly considering the way he concludes the third verse, that he may rather be speaking to a substance, i.e. a drug he was “addicted” to. So basically the whole entire song you may think he’s talking about a toxic relationship that he’s addicted to which he is but it’s a double entendre he’s talking about how he was addicted to drugs as well the whole entire song is a double entendre which is awesome and you don’t know that until the last line of the song “Addiction Is A Disease” Em The Goat Of Hip Hop Forever! His storytelling & penmanship is just unmatched and the way he flowed over this wavy ass beat was immaculate Em is a true genius and this track like many others of his proves just that🥵✍🏽🐐🔥🎯💯

I was with my husband since our teens like that. He died suddenly when I was 41. I physically craved him. Hard to explain. He was the center of every aspect of my life. I knew he was it for me the moment we met as kids. I found his body, so I was left with PTSD, depression and anxiety, which I never had any issues with prior. It didn't help my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer just 4 weeks later so my first months as a shocked widow was watching her die at only 62. Physically, it is shocking how severe grief hits. I had some heart issues directly related, concerns of 'broken heart syndrome' which shockingly was a real thing and doctors had to watch. Trying to get 5 kids through that, while in that state of grief yourself, I can honestly say really sucks. When you have that next level connection, best thing in the world and those who never had it can't even grasp what it is. When taken, you stop recognizing life and the world.

0kinda know how u feel I lost my mum a month ago now unexpectedly, I was her full time carer for 6 years while she suffered from multiple sclerosis, at the same time in caring for my dad who is in the end stages of COPD.. I can't cope, and the thought that's I could lose them both this year is destroying me. I hope to god we can both make it through these dark times

want to throw it out here, the reason I watch this channel over rother reactions is the authenticity, you can tell that certain people have read up on the meaning before going into it, and that is 100% not how I see it. I'm sure being a writer yourself makes it easier to hear but even me as a casual fan can sometimes " know" the next bar that's coming, usually because it's been set up so well by the performer. Always learn something new watching the vids so keep it up!

Practically none of the love songs on this album are about Kim - it’s hip hop. Kim songs ended after Revival. He said his piece on tragic endings and bad husband. Word it can totally be applied for drugs - but 06 was also his hiatus from hip hop (2-3 years before relapse) but mainly if you acknowledge the fact that the album starts with premonition (him killing a woman[music]) and the 2nd to last track is farewell - it fits that his love songs really is what he loves the most which is hiphop but yeah drugs are totally applicable

I kinda feel sorry for Em. I know the love you can have for someone that it effs your life/head. My gf died '01 (when I was 20) and it took me 20 years to be able to find peace. Unfortunately ending up with someone who effd with my head way too much and got me to my lowest point in life, one where I was doing my plans to off myself. Luckily I had to come home at one point because of a dr's appointment and when away from her, I actually started to see again. With any luck it won't take another 20 years to get over this, but time will tell.

I thought this was about Kim and his addictions plus kim I think he's still Head Over Heels in love with her.. the sad part is she does not deserve him. And I'm not stupid I'm sure he's done things to her but I've seen interviews with people werhis album parties back in the day and she would just flip out because everyone was wanting to hear Eminem rape2 was just talking about Eminem to the point that she would start a huge fight in front of everyoneee and there's only so much a man can take.
