I am like most Angie fans, someone who appreciates what she contributes to jazz now and in the future. But she attacks every genre with enthusiasm and an amazing flexibility. What a cool video! To see people dancing to TRXD's music and Angelina's vocals is FUN to watch. It makes ME want to learn these dance moves! It'd be a great way to lose some weight, for sure.

Actually, they are not. They are a Norwegian music production "duo" made up of Truls Dyrstad and David Atarodiyan. TRXD came from combining both of their given names, TR(uls) X D(avid).
This is not a mash up. In fact during an interview after the song was released the two members of TRXD remarked that they had to do 6 rewrites because Angelina Jordan would make requests that ultimately improved the song before she recorded her vocals. Prior to this release TRXD have never had near the number of subscribers they now have and she really is a star maker.
TRXD is a Norwegian music production duo made up of Truls Dyrstad (from Mandal) and David Atarodiyan (from Oslo). The name "TRXD" came from the idea "Truls x David", and is supposed to represent their names. They specialize in EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and were signed by the label Warner Music Norway in 2016. Their first single, Wherever You Go (featuring Hilde), was released in April 2016 and by the end of the year had gone 2x Platinum (over 2 million in sales). They make singing EDM songs but usually use other artists for the vocals. The song Above The Water was released on January 30, 2020 on RU-vid on the TRXD Official channel but not officially released globally until January 31, 2020. That means that Angelina was recorded in 2019 which would make her 13-years old at that time. Interesting that Sony Music, and not Warner Music, provided the song to RU-vid. The video you reacted to showed shuffle dancers doing variations of the Melbourne shuffle. This is a rave dance that was created in the 1980s in Melbourne, Australia that has spread around the world.

@@rkanjl. Not so! The La Boheme whtat Angelina sang was written by the famous French singer/.songwriter Charles Aznavour. The opera La Boheme was written by Giacomo Puccini between 1893/1895.
