We have a Scottish white with lockers, absolutely love the combination of trail tough and great street ride, i will do the spring change also as i am going to do a winch, your idea of longer lower control arms is great. Keep the videos coming, great job!
Great job - and from a Toyota shop! Couple of owner tips - you can run up to about 34’s before you have to get a different mounting bracket on the spare. It will have JUST enough clearance on the 30 door. Also, take a look at the steering damper. I know you already maxed out caster - the stock damper is so solid that you end up with really light steering and a lot of micro correction on road. Agile has one from Fox that I found makes a world of difference, even without changing caster. Fox also offers an adjustable one - I haven’t seen a lot of feedback on that from the owner’s forum. Will be interested to see what you end up doing for side runner or rock slider after the lift and new wheels/tires. That’s pretty high up for access - unless the owner is 6’7”.
Appreciate the info on the maximum size tire for the rear carrier! I know that question will come up.. forgot to mention we did install a Fox damper on there. The owner reported back that steering does feel and center better now.
@@steverpmoffroadgarage8584you CAN go to 35’s, but will have to get an aftermarket spare bracket. Agile has one. I dunno - it’s not really supposed to be a rock crawler. 34’s on the 2” Eibach lift coils seems to be about as big as I would want to go without really compromising what is a totally tight package. I don’t know what the owner has in mind - personally I would call it a day at the 34’s.
