“When you say my name like it’s the first time.” I feel like people don’t understand how horrible it for Homura to be in love with someone who doesn’t even know her. She has managed to feel so many experiences with Madoka that have canonically lasted for a decade now. But to Madoka, Homura is simply a girl who she has known for at least a month now. Homura has to deal with the love her life being nervous around her, seeing her in a sympathetic light, to becoming friends only to finally die and repeat the process all over again; to be greeted with another nervous introduction and compliment about her name again. Homura, no matter how much she falls for Madoka, cannot be loved back.

Poor homura the creator of PMMM confirmed that homura has rewind time 100 times, one time is 1.5 month, which means she spends *12 years* just to have a happy ending..

I keep hearing a second voice in the song, and I keep thinking this other voice is Madoka’s singing with Homura.

This almost made me cry. It really tells the story of Homura going back in timelines to save Madoka.

This is such a beautiful cover! I love how accurately your english translation portrays Homura's pain and frustration at being unable to save Madoka from Kyuubey's trick. Very well done.

This song, shook me to my core. Like, it goes into a deeper level of being relatable. Wanting to change the past to be able to see the one you deeply care about, knowing that their fates were inevitable to begin with, is pretty sad.

So I'll be honest here, I haven't watched the anime yet. I intend to, but I haven't yet. My understanding has been that Homura was a strict antagonist, a villain of sorts, but this theme. This right here, as well as some other things. It makes me wonder if they are truly malicious, or just deeply troubled. I mean, I think I'd lose my mind if I tried 1,000 times to save someone and failed each, if I re-lived a world knowing what would happen. I look forward to what this anime has in store, and this theme. This theme is beautiful, I love it.

Damn, who put all this water in my eyes... I was fine the first time I heard this. Then it sunk in the second time and I sort of cracked when she says don't cry. You really captured the mix of deep need, despair and dim hope that is the driving force behind Homura's character. Bravo 👏👏

After years listening to your version of inevitabilis, I never fully understood why it was so special to me, but from the very first time I came upon it, I felt it touch my heart like very few songs did. I can't say it made me cry (even if I wished it did), but, damn, it always marked my soul and I always return to it at key point of my life. So this time around I offer my everlasting thanks to you for creating something so very special, at least to me.

Even after listening to it dozens of times on repeat, I can't get over how perfect the delivery is. It feels like at any point (but especially at 0:28 and 0:52 and the very end) like the singer is going to stop singing to just burst into tears... but it never does. Beautiful. Genuinely superb.
