Inexpensive Gear That Jim Uses! Gretsch 5120 Electromatic (Sleepwalk; Brian Setzer) 

I just recently purchased a 5120 and, I think it Sounds,Plays and, looks Fabulous!!! Nothing wrong the pickups either they sound excellent!!!! I will agree that certain PUP's do sound different and, I will admit that an upgrade can make a difference but, it's the hollow body that makes a Gretsch sound like it does. I own several guitars some that I always wanted as a kid but couldn't afford them and, a Gretsch was one of them. I'm glad and, completely satisfied with this 5120 and, I wouldn't change a thing.

great playing. i have this guitar and i cant imagine anything better.

I’m looking at this guitar too. Recently getting into jazz and Rockabilly so I think a 5120 might be a good economical way to go.

I just got one of these. It's a very, very good guitar. It's very easy to play. sounds great, and feels good.

After speaking great things about Gretsch (same guitar in Aspen green) and the Dwight Yoakam riff- I'm in!!

There is nothing prettier sounding in the world than a big ass hollowbody gretsch and they should all come in that orange color. Nice addition to your collection.

How's Your 5120 looks so orange... my is more reddish than orange. Is it special version or something?

Bought a new Gretsch 5120 9 years ago with a Gator case, had the action perfected and it's been in that case for 9 years. I did do one recording. I've been an acoustic man for 53 years, don't know why I bought it. Perhaps I should get it out and try it again.?

The 5120 isnt cheap. I have one and it costed me 850$. It isnt super expensive, but it is solid. :-)

Actually I found copy yes copy guitars had a better sound than today's gretsch and Gibson guitars

I don't have to put my video music on RU-vid I know alot more music variations BRIAN SELTZER ask or request old 1940 songs heart of my heart or song goody and see if Mr great BRIAN can sing and play the chords to those songs I play all different kinds of music old standards country blues rock n roll contemporary standards I know them all cause I taught guitar years ago in new york and played at many clubs in New York California florida at a country club lounge for eight years alot of places check out my jazz guitar agile cool cat my guitar is made left handed along with all my guitars

"Inexpensive" my ass... But on the other hand you may be roght, it is inexpensive comparing to Setzer models
