Infamous Second Son | 40 Easter Eggs, Secrets and References

I was just on second son and I heard somebody say "you're the second coming of Cole!" what a great Easter egg

There is one easter egg that no one seems to have discovered except me, so I'll post this here: After you've finished the mission where you use Reggie as bait to attract the angels, the next mission starts at the entrance to Eugene's lair. Don't start the mission and go in. Instead walk up close to the entrance and turn your volume up. You can hear a faint old school-like tune. This is the soundtrack used in Sly Cooper: The Thieves in Time in the minigames with Bentley where you have to hack a computer or in the arcade in your hideout. The tune in question was used in the twin-stick shooter minigame where you play as a Rambo looking Bentley with a jetpack. The tune can also be heard after you've completed the mission in free roam. I haven't found any videos in youtube with people talking about this so I hope I could share this info with other people who enjoy the Infamous games.

There is a secret,when you get the platinum trophy,delsin well say: "Well,you know buddy,we've been through a lot but officially,we're done!"

A secret is in any monorail station in the game. Under the transit information, theres red text that says "CASE OF EMERGENCY" below it is black text that states "In case of emergency: Jump off train or station. You'll live. It's a video game."

Anybody else get a nostalgic feeling trying to cross that bridge with all the turrets going to fight Augustine.

This was the first game I brought when I got my PS4.

Tried calling that DUP number, it actually was a number you can call but I guess it’s inactive now cuz all I get a a loud ding and a voice saying it’s not in service;p

Believe it or not, I bought the game, beat it, got the platinum, 2 months before it was free...

During the good ending of infamous 2 zeke says "i love you brother and I'm sure gonna miss you" and at the end of second son during the good ending after delsin sprays a memorial for reggie he says the same thing

I can't believe someone has remembered this amazing game because it is so forgotten about. I love infamous second son.

Speaking of heaven's hellfire blades, notice how when delsin fires blade missle, they are positioned over his head similar to vergil's blistering blades

I really wish that Sucker Punch would put Cole's Legacy on the PS Store given that any code cards have expired

Can't believe I missed the phenix Jones Easter egg the first time I played this when it first came out

there's an overpass on the 1st island next to a hobo camp, under this overpass is a graffiti bug and lizard holding weapons, near identical graffiti can be found in infamous 2's flooded train yard area

Holy crap that's a lot of freaking Easter eggs! Man I played this game when it first came out and I Platinumed it but I never noticed really any of this stuff. Course I was admittedly very disappointed because I didn't enjoy the game as much as I'd hoped and it was a massive let down for me given I love both previous titles, so naturally I guess I missed a lot of these. I did find a few of the Sly Cooper logos though. No joke I did find Subway in Infamous 2 though, like actual Subway. Always found that kinda funny. Great finds Adam, thanks for sharing 😄

At the start of the game when you have to cross the bridge, one of the cinematics shows a road sign which says “Mercer St” which I think is a reference to Prototype and Alex Mercer, despite the fact it’s got nothing to do with infamous since prototype was made by Activision and infamous was made by Sucker Punch.

Man I got this game on release years ago and got the platinum for it and it was my favorite game I had and now people are playing it again, I'm glad they brought this back

There are references the the town outside Seattle, Bellevue where Sucker Punch is located

I have had that song as my ringtone for a year and never knew that it was from sly Cooper!

This game is still so amazing in my Ps4 lineup, I have to revisit it!!

Sadly the coolest easter egg in Infamous SS is REALLY hard to get: Cole McGrath's jacket as a DLC item for pre-ordering the game. I had to search eBay for a code two years ago. Worth it though!!! :)

If you go to Downtown, go to the gear shaped building, and then look in the distance i think you can see the cranes from New Marais in Infamous 2... but idk it might be a long shot since New Marais was on the East Coast and Seattle is on the West Coast

The Infamous series was the greatest game I've ever played when I had a PS3. I have an Xbox now, but if I ever get the cash, I will buy it just for Infamous

really late but during the mission “Chasing the Light” when delsin has to take screenshots of the body on the wall delsin says “i think he blinked” now this may or may not be a nod to the first infamous game where if you were to kill someone their eyes wouldn’t stop blinking

You can also find another knack under one of the beds in the lodge

On the bridge there is a sign for “Bellevue”, which laroche labels as flood town in infamous 2

At 8:54 after it says “please wait for Brooke Augustine” I just got a long vs Godzilla ad.

Funny thing about the video swords. A sword in BotW/TotK, called the Royal Broadsword, or its glass cannon pallette swap, Royal Guard Sword, look very much like the video swords, aside from color.

There is one more reference to sucker punch in the conversation between Hank and Delsin in the later part when Hank said: sorry about that sucker puch earlier!

On delsins jacket if you look at the pins one of them is the sly cooper logo

Something interesting is that you don't have to beat each district to unlock the jacket. If you beat the first one you unlock all the jackets.

Theres also another easter egg i just found. When u get to the bridge in the beginning of the game go into photo mode when the camera is swaying and u can see a sign that says mercer st. And if im right then thats a reference to Alex Mercer from Prototype 1 and 2.

Actually Theres another one, on the DUP billboard "joel" can be seen and the voice actor of delsin and joel from The Last Of us are the same person:D

I found an Easter egg in the museum where the T.rex skeleton is. Go to where the stegosaurus and the triceratops are and you’ll find two signs with a pretty funny description

I'm not sure if it's an Easter Egg, but in the Good Ending of Infamous: Second Son, Delsin is spraying some graffiti on a billboard in remembrance of his brother Reggie. I think it's remembrance. Honor? Both? I dunno what to call it really. Anyways, Delsin says "I love you brother and I'm sure gonna miss you.", Zeke also said this in the Good Ending of Infamous 2 after Cole sacrificed himself to rid the world of the plague. I don't know if someone already mentioned this and I highly doubt I'm the first to discover this. Just noticed it after playing the PS3 Infamous games again recently. Also, good job on the video. There's only a handful of these that I had noticed and some that I should have seen, but missed. I really hope we get another Infamous game cause I love this franchise. I started pretty late in the series, but got hooked pretty quick and I want more.

Early in the game in the cutscene after the bridge is destroyed, youll see Mercer st. in the top right, referencing Alex Mercer from Prototype, a game made in the same 30 days as the original Infamous. Just saw this today during my second playthrough!

In infamous 2, cole bag has a sly cooper badge on it.

Seattleite here. You would not believe the amount of references to the city itself. There are obvious ones like the Space Needle and PacSci, but there are several really obscure ones you’d only pick up if you lived here. In the Queen Anne district of the game, there’s this weird Hypno spiral sign. That is absolutely real. It belongs to “Eyeballs” optics shop in the Lower Queen Anne Neighborhood. Also you got the Burger Royale ref, but the other burger joint in the game “Burger Mann” is a recreation of Dick’s Burgers here in the city, a local favorite that has a very short menu and is bedecked in orange retro. ^_~ I really don’t have the time or room to tell them all, but if you live in or visit the city, keep an eye out, there are TONS of other references.

Finished the game twicz and got all trophies in 2 days. This game is so much fun
