8:10 the untitled boxing game made something similar with the ranked mode, where the first time you enter ranked you will be put in 5 placement matches, to calculate what is your level in the game, its probably the best ranked i've seen in roblox to this day, every match i had to try to actually win, and i never got stomped in ranked, that ELO system is really good because most people i've fought was around my level

As a PvE player, nothing would make me happier than letting PvP players eat each other alive in a box all day while I play the rest of the game.

Soon as them skulls gone nobody ever going to fight in overworld which I’m glad about.

They just need to remove skulls for people below 1000 elo. That way newer players and players who aren't as good get to enjoy chime. This has alot of benefits, namely: 1. Casual players get to enjoy chime as much as they want. 2. Players who are looking to get better feel a sense of accomplishment when breaking that 1000 elo mark. 3. The overworld doesn't get abandoned, as it is a genuinely reasonable concern. Also, once you break 100 elo and lose the skulls would disappear until you're back above 1000 but you wouldn't automatically regain the skull. This keeps the whole risk/reward system that the game prioritizes and also still leaves the potential to get sent to the depths.

I SWEAR NO ONE WANTED THIS SHIT BRO. All we asked for was a 1's game mode, and they hit us with the skulls, making us NOT one to run the 1's gamemode.

What if you just made paid access into a gamepass? I think you could still get premium payout as the play button does not have the transaction, not sure tho. I've been seeing games do that instead of just doing the press play transaction.

I think the devs don't want to remove the skulls because chimes is a progression method, so if they removed the skulls, there would literally be 0 risk in progression, u can just sit in chimes till ur max power Edit: what they could do is that when you lose a certain amount of times in a row, when you leave chimes you get sent to the dephs, but u can still play even if ur in dephs, if ur not considering lore shit

The problem isn't chime, its that there is no other endgame content. If there was real endgame content in the overworld then having skulls wouldn't be an issue since they obviously don't want people to be chime dwelling only

The reason eclipse was ragin is because no one else is, they think “ah nah they ain’t gon fix it so I’ll just stop complaining” and make it look like to the devs that it’s a good mechanic

Theydont do hard resets they say you are "unranked" then you play your 5 matches and most likely place in the near same spot. More or less the 5 "unranked" games your just playing in your usual elo with 2x the risk

Oh yea, matchmaking is also extremely bad, it is possible to go up against people who are 300+ elo above you. I remember going up against a fucking 1.1k elo while I was at 760 elo

if they want a hardcore game but add pvp they should make more content like player vs player faction wars or og deep, og you could would walk on a platform and another player would and its 1s. what im saying here is take chime out and need more of a simple pvp system rather then 3 skull chime.

IMO remove chime skulls and allow voidspire to be used in chime if some high rank really wants to be petty and send your cheesy build into depths by using a relic then sure, but for everyone else its just straight hands with no interuptions

When it comes to deepwoken if I got wiped I would leave the game for months, play Elden ring, come back and be better than before I can’t quite say the game is too much easier

deepwoken now also has a MR reset every month and unlike the perma freshies in ur twitch chat it only resets u to 800 if ur bad i played for a couple days got to 1200 and it reset me back to i think 1000 or 900 so its based off how much u had in the previous month but when u very first start it is 800 as default
