Finally finished my Inferno S rank run without the bonus items, 1 hour 41 minutes and I had to reload like 200 times for the last boss, this is unbelievable.
aye man. thank u for another video. this shit rlly helps me fall asleep. no offense, i absolutely love ur speedruns, the times u get an upload up are pretty late for me, and generally while it is background noise, it rlly does help me sleep. especially scince i struggle with sleep from time to time.
Dramamine oh yeah I definitely agree it took me 4 hours to beat nightmare and 40 tries on last nemesis for some reason. I don’t speedrun but I really enjoy watching them. I just don’t have the time to learn the game for strategies.
Nice run dist! To answer, yeah having speedrun in the tag does attract viewers! A quick note about the DA related damage: On inferno, damage taken, and damage dealt is the same across all DA ranks. If you go to the resident evil modding boards, there is a tutorial about modifying said values and you can see what they are for certain difficulties and DA ranks. There are a lot of values in the DA data file but, so there could be one modifying enemy health (I suspect there is one from what I've analysed). TLDR: DA doesn't affect damage dealt/taken on inferno, as it's the same across all DA ranks for that difficulty. Check out resident evil modding boards for more info :)
Well I'm not quite sure this is true, considering the tool we have shows the bosses hp amount. The hp always stays the same, yet the speed at which the boss dies is heavily influenced by the DA ranking.
@@distortion2 Sorry edited comment. So I've been doing some testing, I found the SRT tool. Used it and I modded Inferno difficulty damage taken to 1%. Edit: There does seem to be a little variance in damage. I modified damage taken to 1% and damage dealt I didn't change. The Test: Clocktower nemmy, starting DA rank 15. Damage will be reported in nemmy's health %. Using handgun: Headshots deal 0.3% on average(0.4% being highest amount, 0.2% being lowest when hitting teeth area) Body shots I didn't pay attention much to but they were around 0.2%. Heart was around 0.4~0.5% (didn't pay much attention to this) DA rank 19 was a noticeable change of headshots dealing 0.2~0.3% (never 0.4%). Using shotgun: Headshots deal 1.7%~2.2% damage. This varied on bodyshots (never higher than headshots). DA Rank 19 headshots dealt 1.4~1.8%. Magnum: Headshots dealt 2% DA Rank 15 through 19. You're right, there does seem to be variance in damage, but I suspect it is due to shot placement, and in the shotgun's case pellet spread. Final Edit: Yeah figured it out. So I was interpreting the difficulty adjustment damage values incorrectly. But I can report the values for you here now. Da rank 15~19 (dmg taken/dmg dealt) 360%/50% Da Rank 14~15 350%/60% Da rank 13~14 345%/70% Da rank 12~13 340%/75% Da rank 11~12 335%/80% It seems once you're 15 and over shot placement takes priority. Torso and headshots deal the most consistent, limb shots do inconsistent damage. Hope this all helps out somehow with your runs :)
So guys, you ever get those dreams that *REALLY* crush you when you wake up and find out they aren't real? I had a dream that I had an ENTIRE friend group that came to each others houses every day and one of them I ended up marrying. I have fucking ascended my level of loneliness past god tier but, in the immortal words of Spongebob Squarepants: "At least they exist inside my mind."
This guy is the true master of speedruning this game in Inferno Mode. Unbelievable to beat 1 hr in this mode, just incredible to watch, well done buddy😊
Can someone help me out with Speedrunning lingo? What is DA? Damage Assistance? Also... why don't you skip Radio Dialogue? Edit: ah I see... the timer stops.
I believe it means difficulty adjustment. I'm pretty sure RE3 still has the adaptive difficulty from RE2, meaning the better you are at killing zombies the harder it is to do so.
How did Capcom fuckup Nemesis saying the one word he can say. All the variations have sounded horrible since the original on the PS1. It just doesn’t sound right. It’s doesn’t sound intimidating.
Difficulty Adjustment. RE games have ranks of DA that affect gameplay. It basically punishes you for playing well and benefits you, if you're bad at it. If your DA score is high, enemies deal more damage to you and have more health. So by getting attacked by enemies and missing shots, you lower your DA and save time against bosses. If you want more details, then read this thread: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/278662-resident-evil-3/78552046
Hopefully dist has enough energy to get a solid almost no flaw run, I don’t see him doing this 2 months from now. other faithful RE runners took RE2 but this ones special. Inferno is actually just dumb
Do you know why? If you die quit the game and reload. The timer still runs while you're loading a save/press continue. Just quit the game & reload. You'll save time.
