Infinite Deck Buffs with Reno Excavate Paladin 

This is one of those Chump decks where you just know the opponent is losing their mind: "How did it hit an excavate minion AGAIN!?" Until they gradually realize they are playing against a madman who built a deck that literally doesn't work unless you draw spirit first

I'd love to see if you can figure out a way to build a deck that lets you shuffle the dragon into your deck and then play it every turn with the mirage by having it be the only minion in your deck once you get going. The only way I can think of to do it would be to draw your excavate cards first and the 1 mana finley, then put the reward on the bottom and draw the spirit after doing all of that. I feel there's gotta be a better way though.

What do you do when you don’t get the spirit of the badlands early ? 😅 3 games in a row where I draw all the minions before the spirit. So frustrating ..

Awesome deck! I love the concept. I replaced Holy Maki Roll with the titan Amitus to add 1 more power minion, and went 13-9 with it.

Was really excited when I saw you play this. I've tried it in legend. Went 0-7 losing only... most of the time spirit on the bottom of the deck making it impossible to survive more than round 8-9 without him... can't recommend this deck at all. Or do I do something wrong? Cause 6/7 games I've played spirit was on the bottom deck and I've died before I've seen him drawn. Is it just my luck or you guys tried this and suffered as well?

looks like a valid iteration on the theme but i'm not sure i could bring myself to play this. i want the SotB to give me surprises, i like it when the game feels like a Choose Your Own Adventure

Could you do this but use the other finley to put the dragon on the bottom of your deck and mirage a copy of it every turn?

For your plan to work, you need to draw and play Spirit of the Badlans really early in the game. So you'll get all excavates from coppies. Then you need all the original minions to STAY in your deck... So you keep getting buffed coppies out of them. So i'm wondering... What happens if you don't draw the Spirit? Or What happens if you draw the excavate minions before the Spirit? How does this deck win then? This win condition seems to be extremely situational..

I have now played this deck five games here's the truth. Sounds impressive looked impressive in your video. But at the end of the day the deck fails when you draw all your minions. When you're opening hand contains three of the 5 minions. When you get a game like I did where I had drawn buster, miner, kaleidosuar, and the spell all by turn five. It's a sound principle until you draw every one of your minions effectively canceling the benefits. But if somehow you manage to keep all those minions in the bottom of the deck The deck works. In my five games I only had one game where I actually got to pull this off somewhat.

I think its a little nutty that like all decks have like 3 win conditions now. Two just naturally in the back pocket with excavate and ignis

This deck is cool. Thank you! I'm thinking about slotting Astalor in here somewhere. I'll have to see if it makes sense to squeeze in, but it feels like a lot of decks have ways to deal with 1-2 very big minions, so having multiple big fatties with an immediate board impact and game-ending potential seems very good.

I went 1 and 7 with this in dumpster legend. Pretty teir 3 with the current meta

I often think of spirit decks, but they are ultimately extremely slow plays. Every single strategy of them relies on waiting for turns.

math guys is pure math everything works and i get bigger and bigger.

Thing is, your deck isnt as good if you don't get Spirit of the badlands on the starting hands. It's a much more slower start, and often leads to be behind to defeat. That or you'll draw most of the excavates before playing Spirit of the bad lands.

Intteresting. So you went for a low minion count for Spirit of the Badlands to hit the Excavate stuff. I didnt think of that, because it felt like you wanted to hit as many minions as possible. Instead, I went with Highlander, Excavate, Menagerie. Felt like landing the buffs on One Amalgam Band could be good. Also the thought of doing Mech Paladin with the Excavate stuff, since One of the Excavate cards is a mech anyways. Then landing a buff on Magnetize mechs could be really strong, but you probably just win games because you are Mech Pally, Not because of the excavate package.
